Looking for a 200mw red laser.

Hey, I am looking to buy a laser at least 200mw red. It would be great if i could get one for <$100. I really want to buy the DX200 from dealextreme(dot)com but they will not ship it to the United States. I would be willing to buy a homemade one from someone. Thanks.

I've bought the Dilda-Laser from them, and it arrived in great condition.

The dilda is the best laser you can get for the price. It is almost always on spec. It can take a little getting used to to focus it, but it's easy after that.

Is there a chance that it will not make it past customs?

There is always that chance. Importing a high powered laser is illegal and your always risking getting caught.

Yeah there is that chance, but like 99.9% of the time it makes it through. I've never had a problem and I've only heard of problems when people use EMS express.

As for being on spec. I have 2 of them. 1 puts out a MAX 145mW, but the other one is better, it put out 185mW STEADY

What happens if you do get caught? Why is it illegal to import them its not illegal to sell them in the US is it?

Nobody really has gotten "caught" from importing lasers into the us but I would imagine they would confiscate it...

I have 5 RED Dildas... ranging from 145mW to 213mW.... Just waiting for my 3.6V
CR2s and I'm pretty sure they will all be near 200mW... b/c I know the LD can
do more.... It's the driver that sucks... :
