Lighting wood on fire 3.2W 445nm

Wouldnt waste only ONE mW if using a 808nm prism-pair afterwards.
I meant loss of power...the beam will be nice, but weak.

Alu-mirrors should work fine for blue...

How much is a set? And what is included?

I tried some regular lenses on my 405nm project, but it was just an immense waste of power. 405nm isnt 445nm I know...just saying.

445 is much easier to get fitted for an array as the beams are flat. With
405nm you will have a harder time getting them close because the beam is round.
You lose mW by way of the beams getting 'clipped' by the edge of the mirrors,
or trying to get an ideal shape.

Also, were you asking about where to get prisms, or the lava optics?

Lavas optics were a GB, but by the looks of it there may be a set up for
sale by Morgan.

If he is selling them, id jump on it before somebody else does...
These are hard to get and not sure if they will be in steady supply.

Id PM Morgan pronto and see if hes still selling his.

I am interested in prisms and lenses. Over here they cost a fortune. Still thinkin about it though.

Regarding beam-quality: The final beam will look a lot better when it comes from

But I just wanna burn and dont want to use it for show-lasers, so it shouldnt matter.

Looks good! Can't wait to see the 6W!

So do you have 3 modules in 1 unit? Pointing at a 45 degree lens so all 3 beams combine as one...?

Nice demo burn. :pop:

very cool and send me that mp3 :yh:

There are many free youtube downloader programs. I use atubecatcher which is a free program and it will also convert the video to whatever you want, including mp3. So basically you can get all your music on youtube for free. Not all are the best of quality, so you might have to search around for the right video, and use the HD download option.

Is it possible to make one of those 445nm diodes put out 2 watts pulsed for 2-3 second uses with 5 seconds off time? I want to make a really bright laser gun (sci-fi version) that is bright and hot! Will need to run off of AA zinc rechargeable 1.6 volt batteries to for a laser tag gun (holds 6 AA). If anyone can build it in an Aizix module with driver in it let me know the cost for it. Thanks.

Every part of that post is terrifying....
-pumping a 445 diode up to 2W
-"laser GUN"
-bright and hot
-AA batteries (might not give the current you expect bro)
-laser tag gun
-wants someone else to build it for him
What are the odds he will
A. Have safety goggles for a 445nm ~2W laser?
B. Have the respect a device with these specifications deserves?
Just my $.02

Umm can someone explain or show drawings of knife edge technique for beam combination being used here?
VERY interesting {{{{jealous}}}}

Most impressive!

Is this the same ***** 445 nm that others are getting or is this one different?
Cool set up. Thank the FSM for computer CPU heat sinks!
