I found this site while checking on laser regulations and the like...

http://www.laserpointersafety.com/index.html

It was actually the bans and restrictions page I came upon first...

Looks pretty comprehensive and a good resource for members. I see affiliations with pilots and Axiz. I thought it was interesting that there are now laser goggles specifically for pilots...

Hope this helps out some members who may have questions :)

Happy Lasing,

someone brought that site up a while back but none the less, yes laser glasses for pilots are great but wish we didnt have to go to this level......immature kids ruin everything!

Sorry LL, I did a quick search for the name and I didn't see it sorry  Maybe helpful for some of the newer members. They are actually against ownership of class IV lasers, interesting to see what is working against the hobby.

For sure some seriously stupid morons are ruining the image of laser owners and it is really regrettable :(
Personally I have trouble killing a bug, let alone hurting a person for no other reason than to be an @$$.

It seems I am going to have to build lab-mounts for my handhelds...Surely, that will be good enough, right officer?

Interesting solution  Oh and then everybody can figure out exotic power supplies to make the labbies portable :D

I have seen that site before, but nevertheless it is a good resource for members with safety questions. +1 to you

There is a reason I am buying an 800mW 532nm Laser now rather than later....you never know how long something will be available. Even though it will be fully FDA compliant, that is only under CURRENT legislation. You never know what will happen tomorrow.

Thank you Issac  appreciate it :D

I'm also making some purchases now to avoid any possible future regulations. Things are getting less friendly towards the hobby :(
