LaserBee I - Great C/S

Re: LaserBee I - No C/S

What are you talking about...:undecided:

On Oct 13 2010 at 4:24 PM EST we sent you a >5 Meg
copy of the CD... with an apology of mixing you up with
another customer...
Here is a copy of the E-Mail we sent on that day...

To: Dustin Wilson <trxxxxx76@gmail.com>
From: info@bauer-ee.com
Subject: Re: Zipped CD Request
Cc:

Hey Dustin,
our mistake... someone got you confused with another customer.
Here is a copy for the latest T4D series of the LaserBee I CD....
It is almost identical to the old T2D series.
The software is the same..
Sorry for the confusion...

Jerry

Perhaps the file is in your Spam filter or your E-Mail
account has a file size limit...

Give us another E-Mail address and we can try again..

BTW... why did it take you 10 days to bring this up and
why did you not let us know that you still had not received
the CD copy....

Re: LaserBee I - No C/S

Are you the original and first owner of the LPM? This doesn't normally matter as Jerry has said on more than one occasion that he will support meters after a second hand sale. If it is second hand then maybe the original owner now has the disc?

Maybe there's some other issue here, I don't know but keep trying. Sometimes things don't go right no matter what is done.

[EDIT: ^ It seems to be well in hand!!!! ;) ]

hopefully that is not the entire length of the email address used as it is incorrect. I just checked my 4 email conversation with you and have no response to my last, longer email.

It took me 10 days to bring this up because I have much school work going on with being a senior EE and having to do ~3 projects at the moment. My laserbee is def not the first thing on my mind.

Re: LaserBee I - No C/S

isn't there also a link on the website for the software?

I tried to not give out your Email address...

I would need a date of that longer E-Mail to
know which one you are referring to...

I can understand that you are busy... but if we
don't get a reply E-Mail after sending out a Copy
of a requested file... we assume it got there just
fine...

Like I said above... maybe there are File Size
restrictions on your E-Mail account... but the
File was sent on that date..

Let us know what address you want us to send
it to this time and we will try again...

Please send us a response stating that it was
or was not received in a timely manner. It is
the only way we know that you did indeed
receive it or not...

@ Moh...
No there is no direct link to the Software... It only
comes on a Supplied CD with every LaserBee I or II...
Usually the customer puts a copy of the CD on their
computer and stores the original CD...

PM sent including the email address and two others for you to send it to...

Would be great if you'd edit out my email.
Checked my spam, nothing. Gmail has a >20mb file restriction.

Interesting....

Received the file at the hotmail address, but not the gmail. 0 evidence of it anywhere on gmail... very strange.

Thanks.

You could always store the file on your own server in a passworded .zip or .rar
If the need arises that somebody needs it, just send the link and password.

You could also upload it as LPMCD-1, CD-2 etc, so you can delete the file
after it is delivered and the remaining files have a slightly different password.

I copied mine to HD the day I got my meter, and the CD is with the rest of
my hard copies...

Thanks for the password tip...

That is exactly the method we use in the shop with other
software we use... All our original CDs stay pristine..

Since we supply the Software CD... there are very few request
for a copy.. In the past year there have been 2-3... and only
one from the original owner...

Re: LaserBee I - No C/S

If the file is larger than your ISP's limit (mines 10mb) it gets bounced back to the sender.
There are file upload servers(so you don't have to give your IP address out) and as stated it can be rar or zip, password protected, and after the intended receiver downloads it, it can be deleted by the poster.

I can't see any reason for Jerry not to send it if you sent him pictures of yours. I would think the software is set to read established values on certain pins. If it was tried to be used with a diff LPM, the screen values will more than likely be incorrect. To go that far it would be easier to write your own.

Also, being extremely busy on your end does not constitute bad customer service on his end.

Re: LaserBee I - No C/S

He didn't even need to send the pictures... We ask what is written
on the 2nd splash screen on the LaserBee product and it's serial
number so that we know which generation of LaserBee it is and if
it is still factory calibrated.

As was stated above.... and as we have stated time and time again....

We will support any LaserBee product whether you are the
original owner or the 20th owner...

Re: LaserBee I - No C/S

Pardon my asking, but why bother with password protecting it? Wouldn't it be easier for all parties involved if it were just available for download? :undecided:

Re: LaserBee I - No C/S

when i lost my cd jerry got me another copy sent through email within a day or 2. it had to have been a mix up..

Re: LaserBee I - No C/S

Well, I have been using this great product for some time now. Everything is fine until you lose your CD for the software and attempt to get another copy from Jerry. I sent him a PM a month ago asking for a zip file. Got a response asking for the details of my device. Sent a reply with the information requested. Then I received no response for 2-2.5 weeks at which point I sent another PM with the same information requested. Still nothing. Sent another PM at the 3 week mark and Jerry says to sent an email to info@.... I proceed to do so, again with the information he originally requested, now three weeks ago.
His reply to my information was that he sent out the CD to someone with my exact device, serial number and what I assume is the firmware version too. I have sent in pictures showing him that I am the actual owner of this laserbee and I have yet to hear anything back over a week later. Does it really take this long to send a zip file over an email?

Very disappointed with the customer service I have received.

If anyone would like to save me some time, feel free to send me a copy of the laserbee CD software -T2D for whatever it matters. Please PM me for my email address.

Just forget about it man :( The data logging on the laserbee's sucks. Mine never worked from day one, and when I had issues with my laserbee i got SHIT service also.
