Laser show help

where do you live? i bet it weighs a bit. so it would help me to recommend people on whose close to you to save on shipping costs. anyone with know-how on scanners can do it for you:D

Turn you lasers back on but this time put a piece of card boars in front of the green. Then see where you is going. Make sure it is dark in the room and have some fog.

also if your mount is unaligned loosen it and adjust it with the lasers on... It will be easy amd qjick to figure out which way to adjust. Good luck.... Also its better to just call it a rg set up. it confuses the noobs.

are they actually out of alignment or is there just a red halo around your green dot?

You can ship it to me if you want...In in New Orleans, La....not close but not too far....

EDIT:...Also, do you have a link to where you purchased this from? Does it have an ILDA port? Scanner Speed?

PS...This is what you need...

It seems to be a red halo around the green ive spent alot of time trying to align it but never seems to fix it. Its just a cheap dinodirect lase SHINP Green & Red & Yellow Color Laser Stars Light Show Special Effects Stage Projector CL-16RGY - DinoDirect.com

and no ILDA port

The red beam is probably huge compared to the green. Thats why you have the halo. Without fancy optics in front of the red laser, your not going to change it.

IF that laser was a 640nm, it would have a much tighter beam and you would not have the halo (and you'd also have a second mortgage - 640nm lasers are expensive :P)

640 and 660 have similar beam specs. It is the lens which determines the beam diameter.

But you don't need as many diodes, so the beam specs will be better. 2x 640 diodes = 4x 650 diodes.

cheers - I have just studied one of those quad arrays on pl and it appears the chinese in this projector have used a pretty crappy lens. I stand corrected :)
