Hi,
i bought an Kvant Clubmax 3000 RGB-Laser Projector and thought i could make a review to show what this projector can do and how it looks from the inside.

Here is the Website: KVANT ClubMax 3000 | new full colour club laser |*Kvant Laser Systems

And here the promo-video from Kvant:

I'm very happy with the performance of the new Galvos (Pangolin Scannermax 506) and the color modulation! Very sharp!!
For the price it is a very package!

At the LaserFreak-Meeting where the videos were recorded, we measured the beamspecs and the power:
Spotsize at a distance of 12m:
Green 0,8cm x 1,8cm
Blue 0,5cm x 1,4cm
Red 0,9cm x 1,8cm

Laserpower measured with a Ophir Nova and a Ophir L30C-A-10mm Head:
Fulloutput (Blueish White) = 3400mW
Green = 960mW
Blue = 1770mW
Red = 650mW

Here are some pics of the guts:

The left one is the Kvant and right of it is a 4W homebrewn projector:

Here are the videos of it in Action:

If you have question please don't hesitate to ask :)

Did you have the Pangolin Discoscan Lens on the projector for the last two video's?

Did you post the TOTAL cost?/ (in usd plz)

which mirrors do you have on the 506s??

great review- nice pics well worth my +6 rep bump--

BUT-- need to spread some rep around frist--
:thanks:for making this thread- owning a kvant is every laserists hope/dream --
even more now, with the Pangolin scanners-awesome!!
Am I correct asssuming that Kvant uses the VERY spendy 640 red? is it one module or two diodes cubed? ( guess i can tell that by enlarging your pics)

BTW
I read last night that wider does NOT mean safer (for audience scanning)--fyi
I only mention this^^ for others- I am sure you already know that..

EDIT
WOW -- very cool how Kvant enclosed the lasers and dichros inside that Al. box- what is the function of the orange knobs??
Is there a window in that to keep the dust away from all inside??

Have you seen inside that enclosure??
Have you needed to work on the alignment??
Has Kvant added Pangolin Lasorbs?
on all?

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated! :)
I don't know what mirrors they incooperate.
I bought it as it is bundled with a Pangolin Discoscanlens for 3500€ which is ca. $4490
On the Kvant Website i found this infos about the module: RGB module :: 3.0W (680mW/637nm + 1W/520nm + 1.5W/445nm)
It is a single RGB-module and im too anxious to dismantle and open it, maybe because i couldn't afford a second one ;)

I can feel your excitement-- very cool that they went with a 520 diode- bet Kvant will never buy another 532 dpss
So these are pics from Kvant- ?

for those unaware-- Kvant is at the top of PJ makers=
and that 637nm red at 680mW -is as bright as any 2+W of 660 nm red-
and that output of 400mW Overspec is AFTER losses--

which are less loss-than other makers as Kvant would never use any optics but the very best. but they (losses)cannot be avoided completely.

AND the 'Laserfreeks' of Germany has a big +rep.. as the best builders and more -they have some of the smallest PJs anyone could make

and they IIRC are the hosts of the BIG LEM held in Germany.

'Displaser' Greg went to the last one and he had a LOT of great things to say about the event and those guys over there--did you (regalis) meet Greg??

TY for sharing your projector with us-- very nice!! i have seen Kvants at SELEM and TEXLEM but never inside--

These pics are from me..i made them on my kitchentable
Thanks for your statement on the red it is realy bright but a little bit more would better accomplish the whole lot of blue..as always
About the optics: I don't know much about this stuff but i'm impressed that they use a thorlabs mirrorholder..looks very nice to me :)

The LaserFreak Community is all about projectors.
I was on a LaserFreak Meeting in Mainz which wasn't very big, but the people were nice and friendly and the lasershows were very illuminating
I can upload much more videos of the event...but i can't tell for sure which projector was my kvant..lost overview.

I didn't meet Greg...this was my first Laser meeting (it was on 13.09.2014) and there were just 30 people so no big deal.

Maybe i can upload more videos tomorrow..now it is very late and i have to get some sleep.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us and enjoy the videos tomorrow ;)

Best Regards

Thanks for sharing!
Are the cooling fans inside the bottom heatsink fins? (like swisslass).
Could you please share some pics of the bottom? I'm curious on this.
thanks!
