Yes, it was. USF as you may note is a state school, UT is not. Huge difference. Also we did not have our own stadium. We played in the one on Dale Mabry & I think the corner of Buffalo? When we used it, it wasn't the now normal bowl shape, but had open ends. They did that after we stopped playing. I think now they even rebuilt it since. So in UT's case, we would be using the same stadium as they would. Can't have that.

didnt even think of them being a state school. yeah i know UT is private and i enjoy that.

They did rebuild the Buc's stadium and it is very nice now. My good friend actually used to work for them but took time off due to school. He is trying to get his job back for when he graduates.

Stinks that UT doesnt want to bring the football team back due to "costs" but i call BS. IMO they could afford to bring it back but A) dont want to redo the soccer field B) dont want to spend the money since they get bigger bonuses from it or C) none of the above. The same friend took a marketing class and they brought in the head of alumni fund raising. well to keep it brief, he makes between 150-300k (might have been between 200-500k but i forget the exact numbers he told me. all i can say is when i heard it, my jaw dropped!!!!)a year for fund raising aka the first 150-500k brought in goes straight to pay him. must be a nice gig :crackup:
