Is AW rcr123a batteries really the best

Soon I am going to be in the market for two rcr123a batteries for a 445 build. So the more mAh the better. I have bought lighthounds rcr123a 750mAh each before. But are there any rcr123a batteries that are reliable and that have more than 750mAh. I noticed that with my other 445 using 2 rcr123a batteries with 750 mAh it got noticeably dimmer in just a few minutes. And also I can use 1 18650 because the voltage wont be enough. Any suggestions help :yh:

I have two 750mAh AW's from lighthound in my 445 and they work nicely. Battery Junction lists an 880mAh protected Ultrafire 3.7v for $4 each. Ultrafire is a decent brand but from everything I've read here AW is one of the best you cam buy.
 
yes, some of my suppliers told me AW is a good brand. Ultrafire is so famous that there are many fake ones.

I have an O-like "Real 1W 445nm Blue Laser torch."

O-like recommends -and included- 2pcs 3.7V 16340 batteries.
So if would place 2pcs AW RCR123a Protected 750 mAh Batteries such as these:
AW RCR123a Protected 750 mAh Battery

Would it be still safe to use?

The only difference I see is that the O-like -no name- battery is 650mAh and the AW is 750mAh.
Would it be a trouble if the mAh is bigger with 100mAh? Would it damage the laser's electric circuit or not?

I have the same O-like 1W 445nm laser, and the RCR123A 650mah cells it came with, provide plenty of capacity. I am very surprised. Voltage holds very stable all the way to the last 30 seconds, then the beam just fades slowly. I would guesstimate "ON" time to be a solid 30-40 minutes.

You just need to watch the Volts the mAh is telling you how long the battery should last before recharging it.
 
So by the volt the AW 3.7V is the best battery to use in our laser builds
and the differnce from other batteries is

AW protected Overcharge protection at 4.35V - Overdischarge protection at 2.45V
other batteries Protection kicks in : 2.75v and 4.2v Over-Charging / Draining at 4.2v / 2,75v
 
To me anything protection wise if it kicks in at above 4.2..I guess its ok but I don't like the idea, and definetly don't like he idea of it kicking in at under 3v, the 3v is important because I think at less then 2.8v you start impacting battery life and of course at 0v you have no chance of getting it to charge heck I don't think any decent charger would charge one at under 2v.
 
AW RCRs are really the best. The UltraFire ones are complete rubbish. I did a field test comparing the two. I wrote it up on my site [link]. You can check it out, or just take my word for it. But the AWs are really worth the extra price.

Some have different chemistry.

I think they are Li-Mn which have smaller capacity compared to Li-Ion but have discharge rates many times greater than Li-Ion.

Li-Mn are a bit more rugged than Li-Ion, they can be discharged further than a Li-Ion and won't poop out.
