I will try to explain what i ment, but my english is not enough to tell it clearly.
It is funny to see that forum members, wich i know as hardballed and always concerned to be very correct, can turn in to ( sorry for that ) asslicking nice weather boys. Just because someone promised to give lasers for free.
I hope you get my point.

Peace out there !

Are you talking about me making an ass licking post to win the trial or the following posts on this thread?

just ignore him.........its probably bloompyle all shitty because he didnt win a laser....

what are you on about??

Dino direct has shipped my replacement laser....
my friend bought the 50mW version and it got confiscated by customs :s
hope i get this one

TTerbo,
Your friend laser got confiscated may due to the battery issues. We have received some customers feedbacks that Australia custom set up rules that cannot accept battery import from outside countries. Therefore, we will not send the laser with batteries to Australia in the future.
Can you tell us your friend order number? I will ask our customer service rep to contact you about reshipment.
Thanks.

Hey Dino,

Let me just say a few things about your site. Understand that I am not trying to flame you or anything however I am a web developer by profession and I think you should hear a few things that you won't hear for free anywhere else.

Firstly your site has to potential to be really great but it needs some work. I want to tell you about crowding. There is TONS of information everywhere... The key to good design is to take elements out of your design and see if the site would function fine without it. For example: Everything below wholesale inquiry could be put into a tabbed menu. minus the related items... that should stay where it is. The Dino kids stuff and down can be taken out altogether (I.E have a section for "daily deals"). Also limit your item description to lets say 1000 words and have a button to read more... it's taking up way too much real estate at the beginning.

Okay so thats just beginning on the item page. Lets get around to a big problem you have and that is table based design. For more information on this check out the article I wrote here: Table based design: Why I loathe it, and you should too! | The Best John The gist of it is that it's a very outdated method of creating sites that can now actually get you sued in the states for not being accessible to people with vision impairments.

I'm not trying to hijack your post with this as you asked for some input and I won't make this any longer. If you'd like a little more advice feel free to PM me.

EDIT: Also just so you know the autoplay youtube video is a cue for the user to close your site immediately to stop the noise... users don't know where its coming from (because its so far down the page) and they often just close the window/tab

Table are good at organization, why you be hatin.

Table are good at organization, why you be hatin.

Table based design is flawed to the nth degree... a table is meant for organizing data in a table like you would in a presentation. tables are great for comparisons, tallys, lists with multiple values, etc.. The Table tag is not meant for design that's why they made divs and css. When you use tables in your design you make it so that people who do not depend on their eyes to navigate the internet cannot understand a gosh-darned thing on your website. Anything you can do with tables you can do properly with divs, spans, and CSS. In fact you can do MORE with those than you can with tables and development time is much faster.

EDIT: also remember google is looking at your code when it searches the web for sites to index... lets just say it frowns upon table based website making your google ranking suffer.

there are more than 600 replies,( really good job you have done), how did you choose who to get the free lunch?

IMO this should be removed from the stickies so people dont keep making the mistake of a "live" thread
