This is getting pretty comical!......... DEA agents or the like don't spout out on forums, nor do they threaten and give their target opportunity to defend or hide evidence, or even reveal their existence until your in handcuffs!

They are much too short staffed with mountains of much bigger fish to fry out there that are trying to deal deceitfully and without conscious who impact thousands of people on a regular basis.... those guys would be the targets, and I don't even see them doing anything about them.

I think we all can agree that there is definitely something wrong with the whole picrthis thing. I have no idea what that guys deal is but I was interfering with a situation that didn't involve me, and I posted in the heat of the moment. I am sorry if I offended anybody, and I definitely wasn't talking about anybody else in my post. I think Gazoo thought I was talking about him too, and I wasn't. Me and him have cleared that up and I think we can put this all behind us. ;D Hey we are getting one heck of a deal on these lasers, whether it takes a bit longer or not doesn't matter. We all know who Greg is and what his character is like, so we have nothing to worry about. 8-) So that said, who here thinks he's DEA? huh? come on, any takers, I got 5 bucks says hes one of them. ;)

@ SenKat: Thank you very much for handling it and for keeping this going regardless of all the troubles that we all know about now. It is again very sad to have such difficulties that can easily be avoided by patience and some manners and trust.

I personally think it is better for me to get a fully tested and verified laser than one that is below spec. Although I do repeat myself and say that even when under spec these lasers are one hell of a deal! So either way, thank you very much SenKat. Your devotion and repeated efforts and time are never gone unappreciated. I'm sure all of use here feel the same way :)

Picrthis didn't want his opened or tested - he doesn't have them yet but he's already bitching. They may be 220mW for all he knows... Does he even have a way to test them??

Well trying to give him the benefit of a doubt "my Sunday thing" maybe he's neither and has just never participated in a large group buy that had complications..... they are never fun... tons of questions "at best' and speculation otherwise.

I can't think of anyone else I would rather have handling it then Senkat though.

Maybe Picrthis let his fears get the best of him and now has his foot in his mouth..... "of course I've never done that!" ;D

I don't work for the DEA, but I do work for a government regulatory agency and I can add a HUGE +1 to what was said above. With the impossible tasks with which we have to cope, I'd be pretty damned ashamed and embarassed if this guy was actually an agent and didn't have anything more important to do. ::) :o :-?

LOL!.... you make more sense with a name like "nobody"!.....

But we appreciate all you guys do to try and protect us and realize you are very limited in your resources.
Where would we be without any of you?

I appreciate government that rules as a servant.... in other words .... are attempting to do whats best for the people, rather than just "rule".
Remember, the law was made for man.... not man for the law.

These lasers are lots of fun and as long as some twerp doesn't play with aircraft or cars on the freeway etc, if we can all regulate ourselves without having the "immature" ruin it for us all.

Its all part of living in a land of the free.... but our freedoms can't overpower another's.

I have to admit.... its allot of money to spend to have to be so harnessed on the fun we can have, the place we show it off, who or what we shoot it at...... but hey, we have the same problems with high powered guns, or even fireworks, or driving a car, or a boat etc!.... anything with "power" has to potential to harm another... does that mean we can't have it?

So lasers should be allowed as long as they aren't falling into the wrong hands...... Lord help us if we ever have to get to the place where nobody "not you!" LOL!.... can have anything because just one person is irresponsible.

Policing and governing should be for those who misuse everybody else's freedoms. When it becomes necessary for those who are responsible, then we will then be living in a communist government.
 
Man I do nt post here much but I just have to chime in here.

1. I was suckered by glowtorch out of $200 for a pointer that was as dim as if not more dim than one of the key-chain pointers.
Senkat generously offered to see if he could repair it for me and I recently shipped it to him.
I would much rather buy from someone (senkat) who cares enough to test each one before he ships it.

2. this guy is definitely NOT with any government agency. They will not out themselves even when called on it and evidence is poured out in open (i.e. logging in or sending mail from an IP that traces back to the government)

I can not give many details but I deal in fireworks and this past July we had a "mole" in a forum
this came to Light when a few places got busted for selling some "questionable" items.
The agents busted a few places and visited several more. NO ONE knew anything about anything till the bust. They even emailed questions and posted on the forum hours before the bust.

If this guy were an agent he is not anymore.

Next question is would the DEA be looking for lasers that were a bit strong or would that fall on Customs, homeland security, FAA, or CPSC.
It seems to me that the FAA or homeland security would be the people that would have a beef with a laser. they would never let them get out in public.
they would stop them in customs then come after the person that they were being shipped to.

Senkat, If you have any personal emails from him please post him email address and the IP that the email was sent from.
As an admin you should be able to see the IP from which he posted from.
Do a whois on it and see where it is coming from.
You also have his mailing address. Put that into Google maps and see if it is a residential area.
You can also see if any trusted members of this or any other forum live near him and have them drive by and see what his house looks like.
last thing, if you sent it UPS and it is not delivered call UPS and have them stop the shipment. tell them he paid you with a stolen credit card.
You could have someone watch his house the day it is to be delivered and watch and or take pictures of him when he signs for it.
