I really hope that these lasers pass Senkat's test :-/ It sounds like they should be fine. If not there is still the one year warranty :)

Sounds very interesting. I've been wanting a torching laser with which to experiment.

Okay - I dunno exactly how to say this :(

I received the shipment and it is going to take a while to get everything all sorted out. The box was beat to hell - everything is still sealed, but a total of five of them were snapped in half somehow during the delivery, and 10 are missing. I am in the process of taking pictures of everything to put in the appropriate claims with all the right areas - they were not properly packed is what it boils down to. Not only were they not packed right, the only way I can see that they broke completely in half is if they were like that prior to being packaged - unless during the customs search, someone snapped them at that time. I originally thought that someone lightfingered the missing lasers form the box, but there could be a different explanation - I have emailed the distributor, and will find out naswers shortly. I will keep everyone updated as to my progress, but know that for certain I am really, really pissed off - beyond imagination. So - I will finish up with the pictures, and send off the pics to my contact in China, and we will go from there. I can only say to everyone, although the waiting is the hardest part, you all have been patient up until now, so hopefully I can get resolution swiftly and get this taken care of ASAP. I will post again in a few when I can give more information - thank you all for your patience, I know it sucks !

Well, I donno about anyone else greg so I won't speak for them but I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you will work things out and make things right by everyone. I've the utmost confidence that you will get this issue resolved and will come out good in the end. Hopefully things will work out in the end where everyone gets what they paid for and this contact of yours rectifies everything. Know that I'm behind you and support you and hope everything works out in the end.

You cant be serious! That's really crappy... hopefully they fix everything.

Show us the pics of our broken lasers!

Wow, snapped in thalf!? I had one of those lasers and they are really strong, that must have been deliberatly. I have heard of packages getting ruffed up in the mail, but that is beyond the range of an accident. Reminds me of a pair of headphones that I bought from DX, when I got them, the case was smashed, and they appeared to have gone though a shredder. After the family matters you had to go through, really sorry to see this happen SenKat, and I am not even in the buy. :'(

Well, taking into consideration the time differences between me, and China - she should be getting the email info shortly...I had to take my wife to the dr's office, so I was a way for a few hours...I am super pissed, as I have had nothing but good luck with the group buys up until now - But I am not about to wave the white flag yet either !

WOW! This is absolutely horrible. I am very sorry about the outcome of this... but hey, I guess this gives a little more time for those of us who NOW have enough money to put into the GB... maybe you can ask them to pack a few extra units if anyone wants some ;)

Sorry to hear about all of this Greg. When you get a chance please post a few pics. Thanks.

That's a good point... oh, hey... if they let you keep the damaged goods... and I would flip on the shipping cost to ship it back... maybe you can salvage the diodes ;)

I'd buy a few :P

I will be posting pics, and yes - I am sure of the ability for them to add in a few extra lasers, as it was their horrendous fault at not packing them well enough to begin with, and DHL's immense screw up, and inability to read the Effin address on the #$&&$ label ! Grrr ! I am very upset. So - as of right now at this moment - anyone STILL interested in getting back into this group buy is welcome to do so. I will complete my findings, and place the new requirements with the vendor soon - so time IS of the essence. The cost, and instructions are to be found earlier in theis thread - PM me if you cannot find hte info you need. Peace, all - dinner bell's a ringin !! ;D

I'm very surprised you would actually accept a package that was beat to hell, yet sealed. How in the world can anybody trust the Laser diodes even the ones that are not broke in half, have not been damaged? And instead of lasting for years will die right after the warranty goes. They should send you a whole new expedited replacement order, that whole mess should be shipped back. And they should cross ship, to ensure they don't repack any of those lasers just to return them back to you. Did you have DHL note the damage? I thought these where already in the mail to us, would have been nice to have read this yesterday. Did you email them yesterday? Since they are 12 hours ahead, they should have contacted this morning..........What a mess huh?! How about some pics of the mess they sent you, any idea how the package could be short 10 whole lasers and yet sealed? Did they just throw them all in one of those yellow Plastic DHL packs or was it a real box package with little foam? Way weird situation. I hope they get their act together for us in days, not weeks.

Please keep us up to speed with what is going on, nothing worse than lack of info; better to know something even if bad than to be kept in the dark. Last I heard on Saturday was they were expected on Monday, no info Monday at all , and then finally a response to a post/inquiry late this afternoon.

Greg, please don't read anything in this; I'm simply saying don't keep us in the dark so long, we are all anxious for these I'm sure too. I can appreciate you are really pissed, none of us are thrilled ether and probably wouldn't want to deal with the mess....I feel for you.

Let's hope for a speedy fix from the manufacture.

I wouldn't be worried about it at all... I would be pissed at the shipper/packaging, but definitely not at Greg... Heck... after hearing all of this I am still motivated to buy more to go with his new shipment. Greg has definitely proven himself up to it.

Not made at all with Greg if your referring to my post. Could even be not DHL's fault, rather the person who packaged the whole mess. I've seen packages crushed because the person that packed the stuff didn't put any packing material in the box and when they stuff them into the truck, well the box will give if it doesn't have proper packing materials. I think it is the senders fault, haven't seen pics yet; but it sure sounds like it.
