I will be posting pics, and yes - I am sure of the ability for them to add in a few extra lasers, as it was their horrendous fault at not packing them well enough to begin with, and DHL's immense screw up, and inability to read the Effin address on the #$&&$ label ! Grrr ! I am very upset. So - as of right now at this moment - anyone STILL interested in getting back into this group buy is welcome to do so. I will complete my findings, and place the new requirements with the vendor soon - so time IS of the essence. The cost, and instructions are to be found earlier in theis thread - PM me if you cannot find hte info you need. Peace, all - dinner bell's a ringin !! ;D
I am confused, is there now extra cost? Have you heard anything back from the vendor?

Picrthis - here is the post that I made with yesterday's update in it, sorry you did not see it, but it is in a different thread : http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1183263022/17#17

To all that were in on the original buy, no there will be NO extra cost to anyone for any reason whatsoever. Any extra costs will either be eaten by myself, or by the distributor in China. My answer earlier was directed to whomever wants to get in on the buy still has a little bit of time, since thy will have to ship more lasers to me.

To answer other questions : How do I know anyone of them will owrk ? well, I don't - which is why I am opening up all the other ones (except for the ones I have been asked NOT to) to test them - they are still covered by the one year warranty regardless. They were not packed as I would have packaged them - in other words, those of you that have ever received anything from me in the mail knows exactly how carefully I package any item of any value - CAREFULLY.

I had no choice BUT to accept the package, as it was dropped off without my signature, or knowledge - for all I know, DHL pulled up, tossed it from the truck and left in a cloud of dust.

All the rest of the questions have been answered in the previous posts - no I am not reading anything into your email that isn't painfully obvious. you are impatient, and want to receive your lasers, as do aLL of us - and unfortunately, things happen, and it will be delayed a little longer. all of my updates are on this forum for everyone to read, and spread across multiple threads - sorry they are not all in this one thread - I try to answer all posts directed at me, and try not to double post whenever possible. Impatience breeds discontent, and discontent breeds distaste, etc - so relax - I will ship yours, and everyone elses out as soon as it is possible. I am waiting to hear back from the vendor so I know whether to open any of them up, or to just ship them all back for replacements. They all have serial numbers on them - so I can track which ones I recieve, etc - make no assumptions that I do not know what I am doing with group buys, as I have NEVER let anyone down before, nor do I intend to this time. I have taken personal financial loss, and risks before for everyone else's sake and that is just me - just as this rant is me. After this deal is done with - any of you that no longer wish to deal with me, my business practices, or the things I offer are more than welcome to Just walk away and not look back, but I will not have any insinuations that I rip anyone off, or purposely mislead them, or disapoint in any way through any of my group buy dealings. And to relieve any of you that may think otherwise - no, this rant is NOT directed at anyone in particular - it is not aimed to ridicule anyone, it is here for me venting my frustration, and for your information.

Greg, now I see why I didn't read anything yesterday about it because of it being in a totally unrelated thread, thanks for pointing that out, I probably would have never seen it there. :(

I didn't think I was being impatient, really I didn't; it's been a little while and I didn't see any info that changed the last status that's all.

I had a smashed package left at my door a few years ago by UPS, I called them about it and told UPS I was not going to accept the package just because they put it at my front door...I felt like you I suppose, they put it at the front door and ran I thought, because they knew I wasn't probably going to sign for it in that condition. UPS told me no problem, don't open it and they will come out in a couple of days and pick it up from me. Since the terminal is not too far from me, I asked if I could just bring it back to them to speed things up......that's what I did I brought it to their counter and the nice sales person at the counter remarked "no wonder you won't accept it" gave me a receipt for it, and I faxed a copy to the vendor and they overnighted whole new order to me. So yea DHL probably left it on your doorstep and got out of there in a hurry. It's water under the bridge now, I certainly hope that never happens to you again, and if it ever does you still can refuse the package by calling them to come get it. I think it is real crappy they even try to pull a stunt like that. I'm sure though sending pictures to the vendor they will know what happen to it since they didn't pack it too good.

Best regards

>:( >:( >:( >:( I'll be waiting for that DHL guy outside tomorrow to hand him the nice beating that he deserves... Wait... It's the 4th of July tomorrow, isn't it? Well... maybe we're running ahead of ourselves here. Let's sleep on it a few days and see what comes about. :D

Good luck to all, and a very happy 4th;
DDL

That sucks Greg. Dont worry about sending mine off first or anything as I am away for 2.5 weeks from tomorrow evening so I can wait for one of the replacement ones.

As to bearing the cost yourself I hope you dont have to, but if thats the case I dont mind donating some extra money to help out

Okay - second package (with the remaining 10) showed up, and with even more bad news. They came in late yesterday, and I was too damned pissed to post, since I am still waiting to hear back about the originals (at that time). So, now out of 21 total ordered, 10 are busted in half. In my most recent communication with the vendor - I am sending pictures of the lasers, and the box in an effort to get DHL to be responsible for hte damage. They most certainly ARE responsible for the delays in shipment, due to their issues with READING. Anyone in the US that cannot read by the age of 12 does NOT need to be employed. Yup - I said it - flame away, if any of you are protectors of the ignorant. Anyone who cannot read should NOT be driving an EFFING delivery truck, either ! So, anyways, that is the update for now - hopefully I will have other news for you soon.

Greg

Greg, Thank you so much for the update, really that was all I was frustrated over; things kept changing and it was hard to see what was going on. I bought into the deal over on CPF, and thought they were coming in a week, then nothing. I moved over to LPF and searched around and found a little more info, and that seemed to go bust too. You asked everyone to pay upfront because I believe you said you had problems in the past chasing everyone down when the GB order came in, so you didn't want all that drama again and I can't blame you. This has been spread over about 3 different threads in trying to keep up with this.

I'm an NOT impatient and I am NOT mad, just looking to be kept up to date; chill you are taking this personally I think.

All I was looking for was to be kept up to date when something changed w/o having to keep searching & searching around. I asked you not to breath anything into what I posted, because well maybe I didn't articulate it correctly, because it has nothing to with patience; I don't mind waiting for things to be sorted out and made right. Good communications is the key to this whole thing. When something is suppose to arrive on a certain date, no big deal; post/communicate what happened thats all I'm saying, nothing more, keep us in the loop.

It really sucks that you have to deal with all of this no doubt. Why in the world did they ship you lasers broken in half? that appeared to be shipped that way you said. I would love to hear what they have to say about that.

Hang in there, I am in your corner; yes you did take my post wrong. :(

Question, do you trust the Vendor to even make this order right? Since they shipped you lasers that were broken in-half and appeared to be shipped out that way. I know I'd be screaming made at them.....unless they had a complying story behind it. Maybe a 12 year old packed the Lasers......we all hear stories about child labor over there.

Maybe this lasers are jinked, look what when the same lasers came from the guy in canada, and the dealer in the UK, everyone blamed them for the lasers that burned out real quick. I don't know if it's the same manufacture, but it seems it is; maybe just maybe, it's not a really good laser........don't really know...just speaking out loud about what I read about this type in laser in the past. The Vendor certainly doesn't seem to have their act together, would love to hear what they have to say about all of this drama.

So the delivery "guy" couldn't read the label I guess? Or was he just plain too stupid to find your address.

Sorry you are going through all of this Greg, I know it's been a tough week on you.

I am still having a hard time trying to figure out how 5 in the first shipment and 5 in the second shipment could have been snapped in half. Aren't the lasers made out of metal? I would very much like to see a picture of these. And Greg, I don't doubt you one bit. I am just curious. Maybe this was a bad deal...it happens.

I too would be skeptical of the ones that arrived in one piece. But I am wondering if you have had a chance to measure the output of any of them. Anyway, in my opinion, they should send you a new replacement shipment packaged properly. From what you have described it sounds like the fault of the vendor.

Ditto, I agree with your comments whole-heartily, that was all I was saying too. Twice now package has not been opened, yet half of each order the lasers are snapped in half; that takes alot of force to do so.......I'm very skeptical of the ones that aren't snapped in half; warranty or not, don't know if they can be trusted. They need to replace the entire order, all 20+ of them. This thread does needs pics.

Hmm, solid metal and snapped in half is VERY odd.

Greg, honestly it wouldnt be a bad thing to post pics, it would be a good way to document what is going on with these lasers.

Hopefully you get this worked out!

you can hold off on mine since I already have one. I'm in no hurry. If there is no accountability from DHL or the manufacturer, don't worry about a refund to me.

Does the manufacturer warranty cover this?? (probably not...)

I will be posting pics in this thread soon - where they snapped in half was where the laser goes together - there is a seam there. It looks like they either were crushed in delivery, or they were packed that way - I have to run back out really quick to get some fireworks - when I return I will post some pics, and let everyone know what the next step is.

Okay - here are some pics - you really cannot see much since they are still in the anti-static baggies. I took a short movie, too - hope it helps to make all of you understand why I am waiting for hte go-ahead prior to opening the baggies...
