Incinerating a Cockroach:

I've never had to deal with ass cockroaches myself, but I hear they can be real trouble.

Can't say I'm surprised by the truly negative responses. I wrote "The Bunny Survival Tests" 10 years ago and used to get email threatening to contact PETA and one lady sounded like she was trying to get the ACLU after me... "Torture in any form is not funny..."
It's freaking marshmallow bunnies.... Sigh. Oh well.
http://www.keypad.org/bunnies (yes, that's what inspired my avatar)
Anyway, keep up the good work. I'd like to see an automated system that chases the little buggers down... maybe mount it on a roomba. :)

I did that... but it was for balloon popping... ;D

It was absolute overkill!!! It was my project for senior design when I graduated engineering... Due to the university's policy on 'illegal lasers' the final product could not contain a bb-gun, paintball gun, or a high-powered laser... so it was a pair of lame 5mW lasers chasing the balloons... ;D

I thought it was pretty funny, cockroaches are vermin and pests and if caught in your house deserve to be killed. It was hardly a painful death as it was pretty much instantly fried.

People talk about the humane ways of destroying vermin, like poisoning rats etc. well a poisoned rat will take about 3 days to die after ingesting the poison, so it can go back to its nest and suckle its young and poison them as well. It's a bug, get over it.

5mW? That's pretty lame. You should have just mounted a couple of those mini torch lighters on it instead... never mind- Fire hazard. If you still have it you should put the high powered laser modules on it again and post a video! It would be neat to see.

back in the day, there used to be plenty of ass cockroaches in my house. My neighbor paid me 10 cents a cockroach. Used to burn em down with my flintlock laser. 8-) :D

I had my English Literature GCSE today, and for no apparent reason this thread of ass cockroaches came into my head.
I was so close to laughing aloud O.o

Stupid ass cockroaches.
Theyre itchy >.<

thats exactly why I almost laughed in my exam x)
It reminded me of this ad I saw about vaginal centipedes about a year ago O.o
I want to find it now :D

I dont see why people are protecting cockroaches, theyre vermin and theres plenty enough to not go extinct.
Burning them is awesome and makes you cool like smoking 8-)
(that was a joke btw, I do not smoke, for instance)
