one thing to remember with über bright lasers is you never get to really see how bright they are, indoors. It is so bloody bright, you will ALWAYS be wearing your goggles.

I've noticed this with my >2000mW 445nm blue laser. Indoors, I can burn stuff and shine it about, but it's too bright to operate without my goggles, and the goggles makes it a dim and tiny spot.

As such, it looks unimpressive to guests because they, too, must wear their goggles and they cannot appreciate the beams.

I get far more oohs and ahs from my 100mW green, because being less bright means goggles are not mandatory (more or less)

Don't worry, safety is my number 1 priority

ive got a 400mW that peaked at 492mW, 532nm and its the brightest laser i own.

I wonder how far they strip down? just tail cap, body and head? do you know jake?

I got the 445 PL-E from then a little over a month ago. It came with the tail cap off, laser was in anti-static bag with bubble wrap around it. The outer package was listed as "led accessories", as far as getting it through customs.
Getting my Ti-B 532nm from hak today, so i can see how bright it is.

Get as powerful a 532nm as you can afford you will not regret it.
532nm green is very dramatically brighter to the eye than 445nm. 532nm green is many times brighter than 445nm blue. At equal power 532nm dot is 20X brighter and the beam 10 times brighter than 445nm

As to how they guarantee delivery and exactly what they do shipping wise and details of packing and so on --- I would leave that to them rather than shoot yourself in the foot on a public forum with all the details making it potentially easier for Australian Customs to make trouble. Is it not enough to know that JetLasers makes superior quality products, has the best customer service and will get the laser to you or give you a refund?

Whichever one you get, you can't go wrong with JetLasers, you will love it and be lucky to have one.

I know its been almost 5 months since I posted this but I truly believe that my unit was mis-labeled and I was shipped a higher output unit then I paid for... It was never marked with any output rating :thinking:

I have a unit from them I got the 300mW unit and it pushes out a peak of 602mW after a 45 second warm up time. Although where I live its cold most of the time. Its amazing! I like green much more then blue. Its much brighter then my 2.7W 445nm by far although it cant burn near as much as my 2.7W 445 can. Defiantly go with the green! :beer:

My only concern for you is that 532nm units usually be disassembled :thinking:

i dont buy lasers no more have you got an LPM to test it?
