My skyray with a 9mm 445 diode driven at 2.2A reads 3+W on my new laserbee II. So happy! I'm using the stock (g9) lens. Whoo-hoo!

I've been waiting to get my hands on mine for over a month. will be joining soon I hope, with both eyes. really excited as my most powerful currently is half what we're talkin' 'bout

As an after thought I heat sinked the x-drive on this laser. I'm surprised at how much just a bit of copper improves the stability. My driver is soldered directly to the diode pins. I arctic silvered a 7mm square x 1mm copper shim to the ic on the x-dive and I find the power drops off much slower than before.

Welcome to the club, my 3.5 is out for repairs now but I hope to have it sooner or later back in my safe.
It's amazing to actually "feel" the power of a 3w laser.
