And even if something is copy righted by a creator that creator can still give a limited permission of said copy righted material, which in some cases they do just like those creator have with a half a dozen videos have been on my channel for a long time AND don't for a second think that youtube doesn't know that they are there because they not only do but they gave me permission to have them on my channel !

So as I've said before I'm in no danger of losing my house or even my youtube channel !

THE DISNEY STUDIO COPYRIGHTS and therefore
can not grant you a copyright waiver on DISNEY
STUDIO's Copyrighted materials.

Having the copyright owner get paid does
NOT give you a legal right to use their Video
because YOU have NOT been granted
Copyright Permission of Disney Studios
in Writing....

It is not that difficult to grasp............

No your the lost one here evidenced by the copyrighted videos I have on my channel as we speak ! AND they are not of course owned by youtube yet as that screen shot clearly show youtube acted "on behalf of" warner brothers studios !!!

What do you think ??? youtube doesn't know about the copy righted videos I've had on my channel for a YEAR ? gees get a clue and learn what "monetized by copyright owner" is and get back to me......

I'm not arguing over something that could easily be argued as "fair use" with you copyright narcs any more, It's made from short clips, watch it or don't watch it, What ever.......

If you liked it and thought it was funny I suggest you go pay full price to see the movie in it's entirety as this mini movie is just a preview.....

I can't believe I need to point this out BUT all of your posts have been arguing that the mini movie I made is copyrighted material AND YET you clicked the link, Went to a diff website where the movie is, Used the PASSWORD needed to access said movie, And watched said movie in it's entirety !!!

That not only make you ever bit as guilt as you claim I am for violating any copyright laws BUT it also make you a huge hypocrite because as you've already proven in your previous posts you knew exactly what it was you were watching so any claims of ignorance are out the window !

I've never seen a better example of "Do as I say, Not as I do" than what you just demonstrated.....

How can Disney Studios deny you permission to blatantly
post their copyrighted material on that site and yet you
claim that you were granted permission from Disney Studios
to post it on YouTube.

BTW... watching something which is in violation of Copyright
laws does not make the watcher in violation of copyright laws.

Everyone else is right here Accu - just because it is "monetized by claimant" doesn't mean you have any sort of legal right to use that material. At any point the claimant can turn around and ask for the content to be removed, or can pursue legal action. Without explicit permission from the copyright holder you are in the wrong. They've decided (as they do in many cases) that they'd rather monetize the video than take any sort of action. Awesome! But you still don't have permission to use that material and they can still remove the content or seek action against you.

Seeing as you aren't a commercial entity trying to make money from your YouTube channel (as far as I can tell) you'd probably get away with a "fair use" argument in any case. But IANAL.


As for Jerry clicking on the link... so what? His watching it does not violate copyright law. I don't ever recall any cases of people being taken to court for streaming a short copyrighted clip that had been submitted by someone who wasn't the copyright owner. That'd be a slippery slope, eh?

100% exactly right.

Not much sense arguing about it or in bringing reality to bear/support/hold up the merits of the arguments.
It's like trying to educate or "clue in" an autistic or semi-autistic child who accepts little if any input from the outside world--mostly accepts just it's own imaginings and thoughts as if they are the only one's in the world and rejects most others.
These types of people live almost exclusively in a daydream world of their own design---for the most part they are just examples of imagination as entertainment of, by and for one's self which is why they never do real well in a world or activity that includes other people.

Damn it, I thought stupid is as stupid does and if you kept quiet, no one would know! I'm just having a light hearted comment to the thread, to prevent all of this I would have put it in the YouTube Video's You Want to Share thread, no one seems to mind there, but the argument in this thread regarding not violating copyright is flying like a thick walled lead balloon. I'd just give it up arguing that unless it is attention you seek.
 
I made reference to this in another thread, but it is somewhat relevant here as well, so I will expand on it a bit more.
@Accutronitis, you are receiving quite a bit of attention even -outside of- LPF.
Simply cut & paste the following term and search via Google:

"Thor's Hammer" Americanised TLY-L201

The resulting hits on the first page indicate that there are several locations using your content on their sites. Surprised? You shouldn't be.
And no doubt those sites are using your content without your permission or even knowledge. Sites with headings like "6 watt blue nubm44 laser on xy stages - NkRadio" "Nubm44 NY HUB - USA Buzz" "How To Clean A Laser Pointer Lens - Obat Drug Info" "tly repairs - AXR Project" I will not post direct links to them here, and advise only clicking on them at your own risk. Catching the drift? How does this feel?

Other search engines reveal similar results. I only referenced Google, as they are predominant.

The thing about seeking attention, is what to do with it after you receive it.
And exactly who or what the agenda's are of the groups that are giving you that attention, is an altogether whole different matter.

My last few posts including this one, were made to simply provide another point of view and once again to suggest being a bit more mindful.

Just put the video file in a public Google drive folder. Really tho the copyright bs is too much. Too far. What do they lose when Accu puts a video clip together and puts it up on YouTube. Is there something indecent about your video? Hollywood shouldn't have this much clout over a society imo. A form of censorship. Accu you could make a Downfall clip about this endeavor and YouTube wouldn't take it down.

Dan, copyrighted material is a persons personal property. I remember the books written by J.R.R.Tolkien back when he was still alive had a paragraph on the back of each book that said, and I'm paraphrasing, "if you believe that my work is my personal property as I do, don't purchase or read any material that wasn't sanctioned by myself." What he was trying to say was that his books, poems essays, etc. belonged to him and he alone had the right to impart that to the masses as he saw fit to do. That right also passes to his heirs. It doesn't have an expiration date. It belongs to him and his heirs in perpetuity.
