Well stated...Dan, copyrighted material is a persons personal property. I remember the books written by J.R.R.Tolkien back when he was still alive had a paragraph on the back of each book that said, and I'm paraphrasing, "if you believe that my work is my personal property as I do, don't purchase or read any material that wasn't sanctioned by myself." What he was trying to say was that his books, poems essays, etc. belonged to him and he alone had the right to impart that to the masses as he saw fit to do. That right also passes to his heirs. It doesn't have an expiration date. It belongs to him and his heirs in perpetuity.
That is what Copyrighted material is....
It is a person's or business's personal property.
It is so sad and illegal for unauthorized persons
to use that copyrighted material just to get
self gratifying attention...
Just because a copyright violation has not yet
been flagged does not make it legal to do so.
