I looked into my green laser ahhh

I was being really dumb and was wondering what would happen if I look into it and I pressed it in both of my eyes for a few seconds and now there are all these spots and it's been like this for a day! I don't know the watts of the laser! What damage have I done ? Would glasses help?

I once had a blindspot after a direct hit of 30mW or so. It was very small and there was only one though, so your situation sounds more serious. But in my case, the blindspot persisted for several weeks but eventually it did go away. Or my brain started correcting for it. Either way, I don't see it anymore, so there is some hope for you.

I've heard that if the blindspot(s) are kinda fuzzy and gray-ish, they might eventually go away, but if they are pure black and inactive they are likely permanent. I don't know if this is true though. You should definitely go see an eye doctor.

Also,you people that are just telling him he is stupid are not helping whatsoever. What's done is done.

@Kaan - if you are serious then you should see an ophthalmologist immediately to assess potential retinal damage. They may be able to treat you in a way that can minimize scaring if a burn or lesion has occurred. People on these forums hate seeing such posts because it gives hobby/handled lasers a bad name when they are misused in such a way - thus the many negative comments.

Yeah, it doesn't seem to be written in the style of someone who actually got hurt. It sounds too goofy. In particular, that "ahhh" at the end of the title reminds me of the "Castle of Aaaargh" from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Maybe you taught yourself braille in a few hours or have
previously learned braille in case you somehow
happened to become blind. Maybe you learned braille
and bought a braille keyboard in preparation for lasering
your eyes just in case you couldn't see anymore. Or
are you perhaps talking to us now through an interpreter
who is reading our posts to you and typing your
responses. Maybe is it TTS, such as Microsoft Sam or
Dr. Sbaitso?
