I found this bone under my deck

I found this bone under my deck and was wondering if anyone could identify what animal its from. I'm pretty sure its a femur.

Yes it's 100% a femur :yh: left being knee and right the hip
but I can't tell you from what kind of animal it is
 
You have probably identified the type of bone it is. As to what animal it came out of, that would be pretty hard to tell from just what we have in front of us. You can estimate the size and "density" to get some sort of rough idea.

However, since the bone was found in isolation (rather than in part of a "strew field", it is very likely that the bone was part of a roast that someone made and a dog or other scavenger got it out of your neighbor's trash.

Ok so i'm 99% sure its a cow femur. A few months back my neighbor was cutting cow legs on a saw ( a whole different story) and one leg got stolen. We assumed it was another neighbor dog. That dog comes onto my yard frequently so i think the dog stole the leg, ate the meat and put it under my deck. Thanks for the help.
