how to mod/pot mod a 5mw red laser?

hey guys i was wonderin how do i mod this red laser pen i bought from walgreens?its 5mw.Can i pot mod it?and if i can please tell me.if i cant tell me another way of how to mod this laser.thanks guys.here are some pics

well first off you need to take it apart and see if it has a pot...

gonna be pretty useless to waste the money though... might as well save for or build a burner.

does the pot look like a screw?if it does than yes.it does have one.how do i pot mod it?what do i do to it?

just turn the pot a little bit until it gets brighter but that will shorten the life of ur laser and probably kill it

which way do i turn it?left or right?clockwise or counter clockwise?and im not worryed about the life of the diode.this laser costed me 3 dollars.

pots can turn either way(cw or ccw). turn it the way that causes it to get brighter...

This video is definitely my favorite way of modifying a laser pointer.

I took down most of my popular Metacafe videos because Metacafe stopped paying and I wanted my Youtube videos to get more views. It has a lower rating on Youtube though.

There is NO POINT IN POT MODDING A 5MW RED

You will most likely kill it. Even if it works, you wont get much out of it.

Our eyes don't see red too well. You will most likely not even see the difference in power.

Just get the newstyle dilda laser or build a LPC.

You need to power the driver first.. then you adjust the Pot...
Adjusting the Pot with no power to the driver won't accomplish
squat...:wtf:

I have that same exact laser...hell..I have alot of crappy red ones and never thought to crack'em open...I rarely see a red laser I haven't bought before...$2 here, $4 there.. they're all cheap..nearly anywhere outside a Radioshack(-=
