Did i write "127" on the underside of your driver? If not, your initial current was 124-125.. If yes, your current at the moment is 146mA.

That's true. I guess I just got spoiled with power, so it all sort of lost it's meaning.![]()

i would spend the 10$ and go to radio shack and buy another 12-15w iron personally. dunno anything about wood burning irons tho. not sure if it would damage the driver but you should always discharge the capacitors before hooking up an ld.50Freestyle said:Gonna put mine togeather tomorrow hopefully. If I get it done before work I'm sure to be the talk of the day ;D. Only problem is that its been awhile since I've used that soldering iron and I turned it on today and it seems to have shorted itself out or something, it doesn't wanna heat up. So I am gonna attempt to use a 10W woodburning pen, it should work plus it has some of the tiniest style tips you could imagine (Perfect for diode pins). Hopefully it all works out and I will have built my first Blu-Ray. Oh and I have one question to ask just out of plain curiosity(Spelling?), if an rkcstr driver was powered up for a very short time without a load, would it kill the driver or would it just build up a small charge?
