I'm new here and have a quick question. I'm about to remove the diode array from my projector. I have seen afew pictures on the internet prior to extraction the array block lighting and powered via the projector? mine doesnt seem to work? is there a switch or something that stops the power to the diodes when the cover is off? i would like to see all 24 light up before extracting them.

Tried that, when you move the diode block out ( so i can shine it in the air) it doent work.

When you remove the plastic cover that reveals the array there is a switch that gets released and prevents the array from powering up. Simply hold it down and the projector will power up with the cover removed

I'm sure you can figure it out. You're probably forgetting an interlock. I don't know if you know this or not, but lasers are dangerous, esp. 24 of 'em. They put safety features into it so that you can't run it with the diodes exposed unless you know what you are doing.

It is just a switch that gets pushed by the door being in place. I just use some tape to hold it down as I always power on my arrays to inspect for any dead or degraded diodes before removing.;)
