How can I make a show to a song?

I know this is a stupid question and I am sure I could read my way to an answer but forgive me I am short on time these days.

I would like to load in a song and have my dmx lights and lasers not just go to the beat but have control on every part of the song and do a show.

So far all my DJ lights have audio inputs that do there own thing to music but I want to really make my stuff do a show.

you needa laser projector, lasershow design software, and alot of free time.
 
nice work there- +rep yo you sir and a tip o the hat too.

Glad I am not the only one who saw the potential in using a PC tower(not to mention ,for mine at least the big savigs). PS and fan and places for breakouts etc already there too. Texas size as well,

or you cant contact drlava about his LDS software package wich is a bit cheaper then spaghetti and also included a frame editor.
sorry carmangary but he needs more options....

the best to get is pangolin's Quick Studio. but it also has its pricetag. LDS and spaghetti are both affordable :)
