yeah. how much are you willing to spend on a 1 watt blue? maximum?

max around 40-50 max but i dont have the skills to build a laser right now im going to build a 200-500mW laser right now if im successful i might build a 1 watt
 
oooooo this seems interesting i love this kit but will it go through customs because i dont want to get in trouble and if i do i might have to go court
 
dont worry, it will get through. the worst they can do if you import one full laser is send a warning letter to yah
 
um im gonna build a violet or red laser and will my driver work i have no clue im definetly gonna buy a new 1 if u think it doesnt work
 
yeah you'll have to buy that driver linked, it will work for violet and red
 
I would start with the cheapest diode (red), until you have practice.
Do you have a DMM?
Do you have an anti-static strap/mat?
Do you have a good soldering iron?
Once you build a few with cheap ($2-$10) diodes, you can move up to the 500mW 635 reds ($50) and the +1W ($40) 445 blues. :evil:

Don't forget your safety glasses. :cool:

Btw Austria, some people in aus have 60+ watt co2 lasers :eg:
