Depends on your winter gear, I have slept outside overnight at -35*C wearing exactly that (plus gauntlet style leather mitts) and slept sound until the light woke me up.
I had a buddy that was sleeping outside in a sleeping bag with a sheet of poly (thick clear plastic used in construction) wrapped around him.
In the middle of the night he woke up to a weird sound, he could just make out by the starlight, a coyote standing on top of him trying to *sniiiiiifffffffffffff* his face through the plastic.
Of course he jumped when he realized what it was and when he moved, the coyote figured it out too lol.
Don't think either one slept again that night ^_^
