I am tempted to get one too, but i am pretty sure i would somehow electrocute myself. haha

Haha, its pretty easy not to electrocute yourself, don't come in within 3 minimum feet of the toroid or secondary when running.

If your gunna work on the driver board, dont work with it hooked up to power (common sense) and after running, wait for the bus capacitors to discharge, and measure the voltage across them before working on the board.

The bench of awesomeness :D

You could use that 2nd spare secondary and try some wireless power transmission.

Nice strike rail there, is it my old Arctic? :D

haha its the firt thing i look at when i wake up in the morning.

i should try that sometime, will need a bridge rectifier hooked up to it to get some power out yeah?

Haha nah, thats a blank host, yours is tucked away in the hall of fame lol

Is there a thread where you talk about that polished-toroid topped coil?

Nice collection!

Oh so youre not going to used the polished toroid? Is there something inferior about it? It looks..... ... shiny :yh:

It is too small for most purposes. Would be ok for a VTTC or HFSSTC, but that's about it. I'm curious where it was purchased though, I could use one that size for an upcoming project.

It works good I like my coils having a nice secondary to toroid ratio, this one is 4.5" but ive opted for a 6" spun toroid. Its mounting isnt very good either its got some sheet metal cut out circles clamping the polished donut which I dont like.
