help with 808nm

i'm looking at an ir build and need some feedback.

Are you going to be pumping crystals or just making an IR laser? If you aren't going to be pumping crystals you can probably get other wavelengths cheaper.

ive used similar ones, the only downside is they are case positive.

Yes these are very common now. Drive them at < 1.2A their voltage drop should be around 2.1v

i was thinking of using them for pumping too so the wl is important.
