it's already on it's way to DTR, moh is going to have it fixed for me, since he sold the kit to me, which is awesome, because that shows how he really does stand behind his work and if it doesn't work he will have it fixed immediately!

Alright I have good news and bad news. The good news is the kit has no problems providing the correct power and the driver is still in perfect working condition. It is giving almost 1.4A.

Now for the bad news. Your diode has gone to heaven.:angel:

You will need to use shrink tubing on the pins so that they wont short. It appears that they were pressed together when everything was pushed into the heatsink.

Ouch that sucks.:yabbem: I thought the kit included heat shrink, but I could be mistaken. At least everything else is in working order.

I thought that shorting the pins could do damage to the driver but closing and opening the connection shouldn't hurt the diode.
How does that work?

Unrelated note here, instead of tape I found a little heatshrink tubing works well to isolate the microboost ;)
