[Help] 50mW Green Laser Pointer

Hi guys,

today i buy an laser pointer green 50mW, i am new in lasers, i don't know so much about him.

My question is:

I see on youtube.. an 50mW laser pointer can burn... how i can do my laser to burn... something etc...

Well. Your laser will only burn a few things, and black/dark material is needed to absorb the light/heat.
A 50mW pointer should be able to burn through a thin Black plastic bag in about a second, and Black electrical tape in about 5-10 seconds (depending on thickness).
If you want to light matches with it, you need a lens (like a magnifying glass) to focus the beam, and you also need to color the match with a black felt-tip pen so it will absorb the laser light. And, if your laser is anything less than 50mW, you will also need a lot of patience and a very steady hand to light a match. :can:

50 mw, in my experience will not burn things with out a magnifying glass. but you should be able to pop balloons.

Also, I forgot to mention that you probably are going to want to preserve your eyesight (save your ability to see), so you really should get safety goggles:

Well. Pictures of your pointer are not going to tell me anything. It looks the same as a 5mW or a 200mW pointer. :undecided:

Btw Try to search, theres like 3 threads about a 50mw laser going around. It's easy to use

As I recommended in the other threads you may be interested in our CNI group buy (we place a large order at a factory and get discounted prices). The guy organizing this Group buy bought a few 50mw lasers last time and they were actually 100mw!!! Check out the thread in the group buy section

no pot mods are a gamble that usually kill the laser although it brought my cni pen laser from 80 - 105 mw i do not recomend it

for the god sake no!!

You can at most modify a 100mW laser pointer into a 110mW one, but NEVER a 5mW one into a 200mW one lol.
