I havn't yet posted a welcome! I live in West Michigan, and I of course have a thing for lasers. My current laser I own are in my signature, I have burnt out 2 custom PHR lasers before making my final. Something you may not know about me, My user name over at 4HV is Killa-X. I'm more of a high voltage junkie than a laser fan. My current projects are...
4.5" x 24" SparkGap Tesla Coil (12kv 60mA NST)
4.5" x 24" Solid State Tesla Coil (in a rebuild for a fullbridge)
4.5" x 30" Dual Resonance Solid State Tesla Coil (Project for the summer)

Welcome to the forum!!! I like to look around at hv.org too. Some nice tesla coils you have going there. The DRSSTC can be a challenging but very rewarding project. You have a few nice lasers so far, any plans on an LPC-815 red for a little more red power?

I recently purchased a sled from (I think high tech deals) I think it was a 22x diode, and ReNNo told me he run his at 420mA.

650nm LPC815 Sled [LPC815 Sled] - $9.58 : High Tech DealZ, Simplifying the LASER Hobby!

Is going to be my next project, for a higher power burning red laser.

i wouldn't have got the sled tbh i would have got that diode already pre-installed into the aixiz housing as getting that diode from the heatsink is a reall pain in the a**, and hey its only a couple bucks more. if you dont have the right tools such as a vice/clamp and a big file you could end up damaging it. these are very fragile diodes as the chip and die are completely exposed. be careful when extracting the diode.

oh and welcome to the forum  nice tesla coils you have there.

stuart :)

Welcome to the forums! Diggin the 'high-voltage' hobby...

peace & thanks

That Tesla coil looks nice. i knew some one around me built one of those using a neon sign transformer, how is your powered?
And welcome to LPF.

Arayan: Nice Van de graaf! Never made one my self, prefer coils.

Kiyoukan: Sadly I never got a test yet to it due to lack of parts. It's powered by a 12KV 60mA NST, which should blast 3-4ft. Also have a SSTC and DRSSTC coil in the making...not near as loud as a sparkgap!

very nice would love to see another one in person when its done, they are not the same as a video plus they have a very interesting smell or at least the ones i have seen. never knew why maybe its ionizing the air...

Welcome to the forum, Its nice to see someone semi close to where I am. I was feeling all alone out here!
High voltage is addictive isn't it :D
