2 000 is not much, i saw forums with 200 000 people online.
For a laser forum, 2,000+ is pretty sweet.. We're easily the largest laser-related forum around.

That was when everybody had their "SenKat" or "GB" diodes, remember when we couldn't push those much past 200mA without early death? I remember when Kenom posted that he got 250mW out of one and everybody was amazed . I think all we talked about then was how good Nova Lasers were and how bad NewWish lasers were. I also remember the first 5mW blu-ray build by Daedal...this hobby has changed a lot since this forum has grown.LOL! Those were the days when I could have the latest post in every board!
EDIT: 2702 now, now are we going for 3K??

If you all haven't heard yesterday's record topped at 3975. It was becaUse of FIREMYLASER'S homemade laser spiro video. It was featured on hackaday.com. I read that there were 2000 people in the multimedia section alone! Way to go FIREMYLASER!
