I'd say go with Survival Laser's S4 or C6. Both are super portable and yet actually have a heatsink. Also they are made to be the simplest to DIY your own diodes and drivers.Yeah I'm looking for a 15 sec duty cycle, the idea is it needs to be super portable
EDIT: I'm not going for a styropyro style 5 sec 1400mW laser pen lol
How did you get those specific dimensions? Just curious.I would love to use the SL kits, but they are literally just a few millimeters too wide. My laser must be a maximum of 25mm in diameter and 150mm in length. If nobody's done this before then I guess I'm going to need to get creative XD
The JD851 laser I bought is red, but yeah I could move it to green section later (since I'll be changing it into green).
Yeah maybe you're right. Do you think I could file down its sides so it is 2mm smaller in diameter? Or would that be too risky?Hi, That host not a good idea even for 5 sec, Its like running that diode with no heat sinking. Yes as said get a C6 host from SL as a minimal.

Lol, feel free to post any pics if you're successful. Also, if you happen to have a broken JD850 host, could you please open the laser cavity and take a picture inside?I have actually been wanting to do a Sharp 505nm or 492nm in one of these hosts just for the fun but I havnt really gotten around to it. knowing me itll never happen. I still have a 3.5A driver I was gonna use for a 07E, my plan was 2 years ago and its still sitting in my laser box. so who knows if itll happen anytime soon lol
Nice, is that custom built? Or if not, where could I get myself one?I have this broken host that was a 532.
The body is about 24.1 mm and tail cap is just about 25mm at it widest.
The length with the front on is 145mm
