Welcome, good to see that bitcoin is spreading in the laser community.

You should double-check your specs though, I see for example that you sell a 2000mW 532nm green laser, that is clearly not accurate
 
Yes, you are correct. The optical output of those lasers can vary anywhere between 1800mW and 2300mW. I will make this clear on our website. Thank you for pointing it out.

I don't think you got what Grix meant! IT is your claim of having a portable 2000mW 532nm green laser for only $279 is more than a little absurd.

2000mW 532nm DPSS lasers are very expensive (see here for example: Stage Lighting 2W 532nm Green DPSS Laser Lazer Diode Module TTL Analog | eBay ) and are of the lab type not meant to be in a portable.

Since the efficiency of DPSS is low I think a 20W IR diode is used to pump the crystals to get 2W of 532 so once again not practical in a portable device.

As far as I know neither the building of a 2W 532nm DPSS practical or even possible with only $279 price tag.

So what does the supposed device really read on an LPM?
 
Have you tested the output of the laser? If the answer is no then it is not a 2W 532nm laser. You would have to have a high power pump diode in that laser to create 2W of 532nm light. I call BS.

I would agree but I would be very interested in seeing the real output of the lasers. If somehow you made a 2W 532 for that price, you'd have a lot of buyers from here.
The lasers themselves look very nice though. Can you provide an output?

I see you sell beam extenders saying it will extend the effective burning range of your laser up to 100 meters. Correct me if I'm wrong, 100 meters seems pretty crazy to say that I'll be able to burn things 328 ft away from me.
Now sure where you want to be selling to but just a quick thing to help business, I would recommend not shipping with batteries as customs will likely take the laser.

A 20w w diode which you would need for a 20w handheld costs more than $500 alone. Not to mention it would probably need liquid cooling in a handheld.

Gonna have to go with grix
 
IIRC 532nm is 20%-30% efficient in most cases. Would take a 10W pump diode, but the point still stands.
 
Our lasers are diode based and, yes, the optical output has been measured. A main reason DPSS lasers are more expensive is that they offer much better beam coherence than cheap diode lasers. The other reason our lasers are so cheap is that we sell them close to our cost because our primary motivation is to support both the laser and the bitoin communities.

In terms of the beam expander, that was a typo - it was supposed to say 10m. I've corrected it. Yes, 100m would be extreme. :)
 
The 2w should be at least $1500 in material cost to make. Especially if it is JUST using a diode that is 532nm.

If 532nm 2w diodes are out there, I am interested. Link?

Where exactly have you found 532nm laser diode? I've never heard of one being made that's why there are 532nm DPSS lasers.

Also I just bought a 520nm 1W laser diode, in which the diode alone is $499 (which had just come down from $700 just for the diode).

So we still have major issues with what you are claiming!
 
Don't get me wrong, I want this to be true and that you found a way to make it happen for that price in a handheld.

Your site seems to not be working for me currently but I'm interested with that power output and no special cooling how long the duty cycle is and how long you guess the laser to last?

Stay away from these guys.

There is no 2W 532nm DPSS module capable of fitting inside that host. That host probably contains a 200mW DPSS module.

This is someone reselling Chinese pointers with dramatically fake power ratings, at least, that's my guess.

Yes, our lasers are fairly cheap ones but the power ratings are correct (feel free to measure them yourself). They use Nichia and Osram diodes. We don't have a 3W green one yet but we are in the process of adding another blue one that uses the Nichia NDB7A75 diode which is rated as a 3.5W diode but can be pushed significantly higher with a good driver and proper cooling.

I'd be happy to combine both discounts for you.
