Guess our new products! - Sanwu Lasers

Here's another video showing the host dimensions and operating the color dials, I don't think this one has been posted yet.

I'd rather have the ability to produce more power with an unbalanced white. If you want it balanced, just turn the levels down on the heavy colors.

Signed as well.

Possibly open source firmware. Based on arduino you could have infinity number of uses and settings.

Hopefully Podo will respond soon. I'm still in. ;)

DPSS 532 nm option for me please. If you are able even put there 520 nm diode - that would fit my laserpainter's dream. I mean double green RGB, RGGB, R2GB, RG2B (even as squared meaning),... Whatever... Just make it the best and smartest of all lasers and you cannot loose, Sanwu. :)

160mw red, 120mw green, 340mw blue. Seems unbalanced to me, I wish they'd up the red and lower the blue a little bit. 250/120/250 would probably be better and AFAIK the red diodes can take it.
I hope they're all single mode direct diodes.

Please no 532nm. The beam specs are too different to align properly with diodes.

Man, this is my custom build from Sanwu with double green, you may enjoy the common diode only version.

They just posted a LPM test 2 hours ago -- it's around 600mW.

OMLG (Oh My Laserist's God), awesome. I've seen the video finally (out in the forest, no signal and frozen Li Ion). Ideal power for my laserpainting purposes.

I imagine a nice zip case with my 532 nm Evo and next to this beautiful Sanwu's RGB Portable, nice optics kit in there and some spare batts. All handy enough to be put into photobackpack with camera, tripod and other stuff. Awesome for instant laserpainting. Spring is coming soon here!

Come on, Sanwu. :bumpit:

Where do I order it? There is no info on Sanwu's website...

With this pointer, OptLasers is probably going to loose my intended future order for his RGB single mode module.

The same did it to Sanwu's Pocket series rainbow for me. Maybe later. I want this laser so badly and now, right now... :D

I know what you mean Radim, I’m kinda chomping at the bit myself.

I’m thinking your not the only one Alaskan. I’m guessing this might be Sanwu’s best selling laser to date. I just hoping it not to much Mac@Cheese.

This latest video confirms that the top three dials are RGB power controllers. I wonder if the fourth dial controls the modes? I find Sanwu’s release of progressively detailed video clips to be a brilliantly effective marketing strategy. I just hope that the its sales price will be affordable for the many people who’ve fallen in love with it! :takeit:

We have the idea around two years ago and only put the rgb laser into reality last month, development of another new product(yes, there a third one :D) has postponed so we could get few prototypes done before chinese new year.

There are lot of places need to be improved after testing the prototypes but we are also open to any opinions here like the features, modes you want to see in this laser.

Awesome!
Just go through this thread for the aqideas and keep your eye on that. Many ideas are here. And many will appear for sure.

Thanks for info, Podo. ;)

Edit: Just make sure it is programable (opensource like arduino) and possible to connect to other user made stuff (I imagine arduino driven galvos now). Unlimited duty cycle, external power jack. Remote control. Do not forget optics mount on the host. Nice lens kit with combinable effects (like Wicked Lasers' Evo has), but allow to put user's optic elements (just make some lenscaps, where user could put own diffraction grating for example), offer wide lens cap effect selection in your webstore etc. Also focussable and zoomable beam expander. Durable host to sustain shocks, humidity/water, dust and large temperature range resistance. With these features you should have smart laser with just a little adjustments needed in host design IMO. In these adjustments however there is a huge added value IMO. Just make it great... :)

BTW Also modular internal components structure for custom builds based on the same host would be great. Laserists could order custom version of the laser to meet their needs easily made just by assembly of selected parts. I would be interested for sure. ;)

Edit 2: And happy new year! :)

Hi Podo:

It’s very refreshing to have a well respected company like Sanwu request suggestions from its potential customers. IMHO the excitement generated by the anticipated release of your RGB laser is overwhelming. Do you have any ideas of a possible price and release date? Thank you for your comments, and please have a very happy Chinese New Year.
