Anyone have any experience with OLike?

This is the laser im looking at o-like. com/b2b_cpinfo.asp?id=930

120mW for 110 bucks sounds like a hell of a deal. These also look exactly like the pointers optronics sells

optotronics. com/proddetail.php?prod=glp-55

I have ordered from O-Like before, specifically the 50mW green unit. They are a reliable website, but I have no experience with the laser you want though.[/quote]

Have you tested if it actually outputs 50mw? Also, it seems like they are based in china, so how long did it take to get yours?

I also ordered a 50mW unit from 0-like. It is a quality module, but mine requires all of 15 minutes continuous operation before it is warmed up. Until then the power fluctuates and it mode hops. Once it warms up it is rock solid at TEM00 and outputs an average of 53mW. I don't really mind the warmup since it is usually required for cheap DPSS lasers to operate reliably. Also, during the warmup it demonstrates the most vivid TEM modes I've seen from any laser. Not the jumbled up blobs of light that most people associate with mode-hops, but instead it projects tight symmetric groups of up to 9 beams, which gradually converge into one TEM00 beam as the temperature stabilizes. It's an interesting effect that I don't mind so long as the beam eventually reaches TEM00 and stays that way until shutoff, which it has so far.

Shipping took about a week and a half, which is awesome considering it was during the holidays.

I ordered and received the 400-450mw module from o-like. It arrived quickly, and performs well. I made it into a handheld, pictures are in my thread about this laser and module. I would order from o-like again. This is the first asian module or laser that I have purchased that actually was to spec. (Went for the big 400mw module because I wanted a 200mw laser, DX greens have maybe half their rating unless you're lucky, so I figured buy double and hope for the best ...)

Wait, you mean that it actually was 400mW of green?! Whoa!

I saw the thread on billg519's 400mW handheld. It's ridiculous. I especially liked the steel wool burning..

Yes it is to spec. It peaks in the low to mid 500's, holds the peak for a few seconds, and slowly settles in the low to mid 400's. The steel wool nearly didn't happen. I normally only try this with my IR's, but this green was testing out so well that I shone it on a clump of steel wool and was surprised by the near instant fire! I should have used a bigger chunk in the video.

I ordered the 80-100 mW green module at the end of December --
No updates from Susie yet on shipping. Nothing :(

Hi Mike ,

As I am on business trip ,no tracking numbers to advise to you . I am sure your module had been sent out . you will get it soon .

Thanks Susie

I ordered an 80-100mw module from O-Like around the 1st or so...right after the group buy ran out and there were no more 60 dollar units. Suxie emailed me and apologized for the slight delay in shipping without me even having to bother her about it. When my module arrives I am planning on finding (or building) a heatsink, then making a portable build with this module. After this I will do a full review with beam shots and LaserBee telemetry in the reviews section.
