Green laser

Re: Custom green lasers

A primary CR123A has around 1500 mAh @ 3.0V. Even assuming you can get out only ~1/3 of the total capacity at drain currents approaching 1A, that should translate to roughly one hour runtime for a 200mW laser (similar to a LED light at 200 lm). I personally am thinking in the direction of getting some CR123A-based lasers as well; I'd prefer the smaller size over longer runtimes (how long does it take to accumulate 1 hr laser time?), but I'll be doing some more reading around first...

C, I like the black host + sink very much, but can I also assume that this 14500-sized polished-alu finished host would also work... :-?

Sure, its 14500 like the current hosts and pretty much the same physical size.

Re: Custom green lasers

I would buy 1 tonight @ $350. Wouldn't even mind sending you a PayPal deposit tonight, if that was an option.

Its the thought that counts

Re: Custom green lasers $220

How can you afford to make these! 105 (+shipping from China!) for the module, ~20 for the flashlight, outrageous shipping I'm sure. not to forget the ap-cap and heatsink!

I may buy one of these from you soon :D.

The shipping is not too bad - but your right about the rest!  :( :o :D
Its just for the fun mainly, no real money involved.

Re: Custom green lasers $220

Likeitbright,
Have you been polishing the o-like green modules as well or do they come polished?

There is no need to polish them and risk damaging them. They cannot be seen once installed in my build anyway....

Oh ok,
From the pictures it looked like the O-like module is sticking out of the middle of the heat sink.

Re: Custom green lasers $220

Nope, thats the aperture cap I make. The o-like module does not have an cap, just a threaded barrel with lens threaded into it.

Re: Custom green lasers $220

Thanks for the clarification!
Everything looks great.
I don't suppose you'll sell everything as a "kit" without the module or battery?
Debating... So tempting... I'm having a hard time parting with with $230 (Stainless) right now...

Too many laser purchases in the last little while. Waiting for about 11 packages in the maill... dragon lasers, DX, O-like, and several LPF members...
