Hey Guys,

I've got a 445nm laser. It is run on an m140 diode, and a 1.8A Mohgasm driver. So I am looking for some really good batteries that can push out 2watts +. Can someone please help me out.

P.S: I'd need a charger to go with these, and would need protected since I can't test how much charge they have.

Qorx;

Its a basic linear driver, input voltage need to be diode voltage + ~2v (~7.5 VDC).

Generally, you will need 2 lithium-ion batteries for a 445 laser diode at that current.

Does your laser use #18650 cells ?

If so, I have Panasonic cells and a charger available.

IMO, you don't need protected cells.

Try not to be a dick too. You have been previously told to compile all your questions in one thread.

I would recommend looking for some 18350 sized batteries, which well replace 18650's for linear drivers with M140's.

One suggestion is this: UltraFire 18350 3.7V 1200mAh Batteries (Pair) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme

Yes, they are ****Fire branded but I've had nothing but decent experiences with them, and their actual capacities are about 800mAh. They really don't have problems handing 1.8A current draw, but just do monitor their voltages as they are unprotected.

Good luck!

Edit: However, if you do need protected cells, you should look into 16340 cells because they are more common and do come with protection circuits.

Since you have a linear driver . . .

you need to buy two 18340 cells.

I would never buy Ultrafire !!

Trustfire is a decent option.
