I don't wear jeans (or a belt), and haven't for years!  There are some advantages to being a n[ch945]rd, one being that you can wear whatever you want and not care about what people think.

Everyone in my school buys name brand stuff like Hollister, I don't see the point; You pay $200 for a sweatshirt that says Hollister on it. It's a little better quality, but who cares? It's not like shirts can be in-spec, right?

Here's a funny story...well alright a humorous story:

I'm at the airport in Grand Rapids, MI waiting on a flight to San Francisco. I'm sitting on the floor on the opposite side of the gate because my cell phone is about dead and it's the only place there is an outlet. Anyway, this guy appears down the hallway heading into the concourse. His pants are riding about middle of his thigh and he has white boxers on. On his belt are four....count them FOUR cell phones. He has a baggy t-shirt with some sports thing or another on it and a baseball hat with the bill cocked to one side. He's got one cell phone in his ear and since his pants are so low he cannot walk with a regular gait and has to sort of waddle with a little shuffle to go along with his 1970s pimp strut he's got going with the upper half of his body.

Now I'm thinking I've never seen anyone so damn cool in my life. If only I could be so cool. He sits down a bit down the hall and sticks his untied converse or whatever out into the hall. The whole time he's holding this cell phone to his ear. I never hear him say a single word into the phone...not one.

Finally, we begin boarding. I think great, Huggy Bear here is going to be on the same flight. He's in first class and moseys on up. I'm about two people behind him heading to coach. He still has this phone up to his ear not saying anything. As we walk down jetway to the plane his pants drop to his knees. It was all I could do to not bust out laughing. But the guy was so cool he never removed the phone. With his free hand he reaches back, grabs the belt and pulls, yanking back and forth to pull them back on. Now he has this muffin thing going with his boxers.

I realized at that moment how uncool I've been all my life.

I wear jeans all the time with no belt with the exception of one pair. They are labeled 34" waist just like my other pairs. I have no idea why they can't stay up like the others do.

I never wore my pants low simply because it's very uncomfortable. I always wore, and wear a belt. I do not however, tuck in my shirt because I'm too . I have and always will wear somewhat baggy clothing, not super baggy to where it looks like my girlfriend could fit in my pants with me, but enough to move around comfortably. Cell phones? Internetz? It was all about the Encyclopedia!

What about Gen Z? People in my Gen would get their ass beat for cross dressing, and homosexuality was not accepted. Oh, just talking about the Emos... :-X ;D

Almost EVERYONE in my school wear their pants like that, thinking it's cool. It's been so for a couple of years, although I've never understood why to do it. So I always wear my pants in a so called "proper" way: not that low and I almost always use a belt. But I don't tuck in my shirt either. If I would, people would start to pick on me immediatley because I'm different than them. Plus, it doesn't look that cool IMO.

Why wear your pants that low? Imagine if somebody is chasing you for some reason, then you won't be able to run away! ;D
The only reason I can think of to wear them like that is that your butt looks smaller.

it these kinda kids that drive the civics or neons and think they are fast with the little coffee can on the back ;D they think they are loud but I can't hear then over the sound of my V8 or my screeching tires as I take off it's sad that a 1994 F-150 with over 165k miles can beat what they think is a fast car lol

lol I've been driving since I was 14 ;D ever since I bought my own car with my own money I got my MY job I've been driving. i think kids now are too spoiled and thats whats wrong with young people now a days

What's sad is you can't buy a pair of pants anymore that aren't saggy. At least not jeans. I recall a day when Levi 401's were the thing and the tighter the better. Now, buying a pair of 401's is almost impossible.
