As far as the PL515, I only know of one source, and one on fleebay, but I'm taking the latter one with a grain of salt.

They aren't really being produced as the goal is to get closer to 532, and beyond, so what's left will get bought up and then no more. I assess the same will happen with the 520, although that may change since they are being used bulk in laser pointers. Although same may happen with the 515 since they are in a couple pointers as well. Who knows really.

I might be interested in three lenses at that price. How exactly do you use these lenses and focus with them? looks from the pictures that they are mounted directly to the diode without focus ability, but in DTR's shop they look like normal M9x0.5 lens screws.

btw, I visited that page for the first time and both drop-down boxes list $1050.

laser66 sells the lenses bare. So you use them they need to be mounted in a barrel like the ones DTR sells.

And is there someone with a cleanroom who can put them into barrels, once this GB starts?

Tried that dozens of times. It always traps enough microdust to pollute the beam. The dust isn't visible even under a 10x loupe but very visible when putting it on a laser:

Did you try a q-tip with teflon? It always do fine for me... :thinking:
Maybe some cotton tips then teflon.

"with teflon" I don't understand. I already wiped the lens surfaces with a clean microfiber cloth.
