I have been away from LPF for a few weeks as well (like Xer0).

I am very sad I missed this, so if anyone doesn't want their galvos, I would be willing to
pay for shipping once they get theirs and even send a little bit more for their trouble.

PM me if anyone is interested in this, and not interested in their galvos! Thanks.

Nothing yet and tracking doesn't show anything. If they haven't arrived in a few days I'm going to dispute the charge on my credit card and refund you all until I figure out what happened!

Damn. I don't think this Vash guy realizes what a black mark he is putting on his store's reputation. A good portion of the laser market enthusiasts/consumers are here on LPF as well as PL (which a lot of us are members of both). :(

Maybe everything will be fine and we are just speculating too quickly.....

He was great at responding pre-payment and hasn't answered a single email in the past week which is what's worrying me. I'm going to get the ball rolling with a dispute on the charge of my credit card (takes ~2 days for anything to happen). If the items end up arriving I'll just re-send payment to him.

Shipping has been updated now. It looks like they didn't send the package out until I filed a credit card dispute and a PayPal dispute.... X(

Probably the last time I order from these guys again...

was already looking at a 30k galvo set as an alternative for 160-200.... between the chinese and dr lava almost looks like a fall project

So did this ship to you yet? did you get a track from shipping company to ensure that you're not just getting "yes'ed to death"?

With all the money that the US Gov't. is giving to China, I can't afford to give them any directly...

Two outcomes will come out of this:

1) Galvos come in a few days. I ship them out to you guys.

2) Galvos don't come. I pull back funds. Everyone gets refunded.

Alright you guys they got here today (wow fast shipping?).

Bad news is it looks like they just crammed the wire-y parts all together so the wires were a giant mess. After spending the past ~20 minutes getting everything out it appears that there have been a few disconnections. It's a typical "easy" soldering fix in both cases but I both do not have a soldering iron nor skill/experience at all with one so I would like to have a show of hands for who is comfortable with a soldering iron ;)

Im comfortable soldering pretty much anything. Let me know if you need help. ;)

Ok. Are you sure that's all that was damaged? It worries me. :(

Edit: ok, I just looked at the pics. Its a wire broken off of the wiper contact of the pot. That's a cake walk as far as soldering goes. I was expecting some detailed board solder work. ;)
