GB: Low Cost 15K Scanner Galvo Set with DMX & ILDA Complete - $75 **ARRIVED**

Alright the DACs and software from the GB came today. I decided to test it out ;) before going any further. Got everything hooked up and it looks good.. Got a few questions though since LSX (and all the other software it comes with) is a bit daunting... how do you calibrate everything? Most the images I'm projecting look like s#!t (not to mention words are backwards and also look like s#!t). I looked through the manuals that come with the devices and everything but it's either outdated (?) or I'm just stupid... or both..

So after that gets done.. I need to figure out this whole blanking thing.. So since mine for now is just a green system I suppose I could connect the two wires to the TTL area on the scanner part from this GB. Which pins are +5 and 0? And does anyone have a creative way to connect it other than just putting the wires there and hoping for the best? hahahaha ;) that's my rant...

I asked dr lava a bunch of questions pertaining to LSX, he told me to go on lasershowforums.com. I haven't really gotten to look at the site much yet. Maybe it'll help you guys out. :)

Unzip the file into the directory of the software. It should be under C: --> programs --> LSX software folder title whatever.
I think there are two programs to unlock.

Just put the .lic (I think that's what it is) file there in the directory and restart the computer/run the program til it works X)

Is your DAC plugged in? It won't work if it's not. Make sure you can see it in your Device manager or the Test RIYA program.

I've already found the limits of these scanners. I thought they might just need tuned but they just don't have the speed to keep up. Guess I have to get some faster galvos now....

Lasers are too damn expensive.

You'll see it if you mess with scanning speed and angle. You can fix lines that look like they are overshooting where they are supposed to be or curving in the wrong spot by slowing the speed and scale down.

I think it may be possible to tune them for a smaller scan angle but I'm sort of doubtful.

Yea, I too have found out that these galvos cannot keep up. I have already started looking at good 40K galvos. you're right, pontiac. These lasers like to drain my wallet. :(

Shit. Should I be ready to be disappointed?

How do you install the RIYA drivers? When I to run the driver files they open in notepad.
