That is being handled in the Fusiondrives thread, Toked.[/quote]

lol oops. I didn't realize this wasn't the Fusiondrive tread or I wouldn't have answered him...
:P :P :P

come'on toked, tisk tisk for bothering him over here. :P lol...

so everyone hasn't sounded off to let me know they got thier barrels yet. I need to know as I'm waiting to verify all of my shipments thus far before I ship any others. So folks are waiting on you now.

Yeah, it's odd... this is one of the better GB products that has passed through LPF. You'd think people would be all over getting it ASAP.

I have now completely put together my entire list of buyers for this again and have a total (I think) yet, I'm baffled why we have a shortage. Apparently I shipped barrels to people that have not spoken up that I don't have in my list or double shipped.

So, again I plead, if you got barrels and weren't supposed to, or got a double shipment. PLease let me know.

Well if I get anything from you, i'll post it here asap. so far my hunt for the elusive "Mail man" has come up empty. sneaky little bastard....

I know I like to take a photo of the stuff I send out, sometimes including the address of the recipient. It's fast and is good documentation, especially for showing the condition of the product when sent out.

Not a bad idea. but would be really time consuming for 100 barrels. Whew!!

Hope it's not too serious.
I'm still waiting for mine.. To be honest I've lost a little interest since I have some $ issues that prevent me from spending a lot on parts nowadays... I saw that bit about the removal tool... Can you post a video of that? I'd hate to screw up the one I have, trying to transfer it into the barrel. If I do, I won't be able to replace it...

Well that's the beauty of the camera. Just put the box with the address label next to the products, take a shot, and then tape it up and send it out. It doesn't need to be fancy or super detailed, and the camera could even just be attached to a tripod so you don't need to focus or set it up. It is an extra step, but one that takes a few seconds to complete, and helps you avoid needing to write down the specifics of what went into the package. If someone disputes that the cap or rings weren't there, look in the photo. It might not show everything, but you can usually pick out what is there or not. At least it's some peace of mind, a visual inventory not prone to accidentally checking off the wrong, order, etc. You can even use the EXIF data in the JPG to determine when it was packaged. It won't help now of course...

hey look at the bright side!! he beat the longest thread record!!!

I honestly don't know if that's a good thing or not. The previous longest only got long because of problems. Seems that is the case everywhere. The rate this one is going it will be a lot longer yet.

Question, Does the negative connection of the pcb board need to be connected to the side with like a little piece of wire, or does it stay grounded through the ground of the diode that is connected to the whole alumnium case?

kdubbz - I believe the driver ground is the same as the diode ground, so the driver stays grounded through the diode. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.  :P

Kenom - I received my barrel and extras today. Thanks for all the hard work, it was well worth it!   ;)

kdubbz yuip is correct. The only negative connection needed is the one to the diode. The driver gets it's negative connection from that off the barrel. that's why it's important to make sure the diodes were using are case negative and NOT case positive. Else your going to have to put the batteries in backwards and have the negative running to the driver from the batteries.

Yuip, I'm glad you got yours and thanks for letting me know you got yours alright. If you think this barrel is gonna be good wait till you see the grooves.

Ok, I attempted my 1st PCB board, came out pretty bad and I dont trust it, How the heck am I supposed to solder the cap and resistors on the top when the solder pads are on the top? Can we solder the cap and resistors on the back? seems like soldering would be 100 times easier than soldering on the front, because on the front I cant get the things close to the board. I have my bluray and red gb diode installed in each barrel head, just I cant get this drivers assembled the way I want. Does anyone sell these things pre-assembled? I'd like to make it myself but I dont trust it and dont feel like burning out 5 diodes before I get it right, Ive already burnt out like 3 gb red diodes previously on a different project.

You can solder it on the back side so that you get it nice and tight. it really doesn't matter which side you solder the components on as long as they are placed correctly.
