GB | 515nm Diodes - Payments Stage Starts at 10th July

I have one available if you want me to press yours in for you. Just would like $10 to cover the module and shipping priority mail to you. I would press it and send it with the rest of the module with focus ring and standard Aixiz plastic lens unless you want to pay $4 more for one of the lenses he is sending with my stuff. I don't have a driver for it though so can't help with that part but I could attach leads to the diode if you want. Need to make a decision quick though as I am expecting my stuff to go out on Sunday. Up to you to contact Eitan in time.
Are there going to be tracking numbers?

Alright I'm going to Message him. Thanks!

It appears my message got deleted...? Iam going to learn and do it myself so i can stop asking people XD

I would.. its not that hard.. you can buy some cheap diodes to start out!

I have been looking for the link someone posted to a "test" or data sheet type post. However this was a more detailed with ma input and mw output. Does anyone know where that post was?

Trendkilla, is this the link you are looking for? -Here-

Nah it was actually someone's post. It had real world data from a user on the forums. They actually had ma input and mw outputs in a table type format typed out in the forum post. I did see that link. I completely lost that post. I wish I would have bookmarked it.

Thanks for trying though, it is appreciated.

I did read that lower "power" will cause it to "blueshift" is this referring to the ma or the forward voltage? I was planning on running it near 50-60ma (should be about 5mw [Pman will set this for me, shout out to him]) with two 18650's because I already have a host with the 2x18650 tube. Should I swap to a different battery type to bring the voltage down to ~2Volts with ~55ma? I was confused by that post.

6 packs were sent out. A few more are ready to go out tomorrow. And the rest on friday.

Will pm you all on Friday when it is all shipped. It will be easier for me to do it all at once.

:)

I want to see what trendkilla is talking about also if someone finds it.

I don't think any testing has been done on this particular diode, because it hasn't really been for sale anywhere that people have bought it.

Styro said the same about it, i think ill try that, what are you going to use to drive it?

This is something I have observed with the green laser diodes. Although as of now I have no quantitative data to support this, I have noticed that the green diodes tend to run more on the blue side when run just above threshold. These diodes barely shift in wavelength with temperature, but from what I have seen do shift quite a bit with drive current.

For anybody with a PL520 on hand, drive it at threshold and then raise the current and see if there is a noticeable change. Once I get around to it I'll finally get some specrtal data on the PL520 to confirm/deny what I've seen.
