lol.15/32
you just have to drop the module on the floor to get the 15/32 snug fit
My machinist tells me lots of tricks. If something is snug, put one in the freezer and warm the other one. You can actually get a very good thermal transfer when you start getting to press fit specs.
Other tricks, obviously astro-glide. Best lube there is! You should see some of the things that can be forced in with that stuff!
And fine sandpaper wrapped around the module and gently rotated to lessen the diameter until it fits.
If your module is not big enough in diameter and it feels you aren't getting a snug fit you can do some tricks there too...
First, wrap that thing up!
In a pinch, put a SMALL dot of super glue on the module and cut a thin piece of Aluminum foil. Attach it to the dot of superglue and then wrap a couple of times around the module until it is big enough around to fit more snugly. Then add another small dot of superglue and cut it off.
This will NOT result in an ideal situation, and I wouldn't do that for a 2W build. But for a lower power build where heat transfer is necessary but not critical, it will work. You can't make the module snug enough to fit TIGHT this way, but you can get it to sit in place correctly and tighten it in with the set screw.
The set screw is also a way to inject arctic thermal glue into the gap between the module and heat sink. Again, not ideal but under OEM circumstances it will work.
