I'll get the hole widened a bit, sorry I thought the more it touches the diode the better for sucking the heat away :p next time I'll get it Aixiz size ;)

Got mine in today, cant do much since my funds are VERY limited at the moment, at least I have them for when I need them

Anybody want to buy two of these with m140s pressed and leads attached? The threads are messed up though. :/

Got mine today, tested these with both acrylic and glass lenses.
The acrylic ones worked great, but the glass lens fits very tight.
So tight that i cant remove it now :p

Might be a good idea to get a tap to chase these things with, or definitely a good idea to blow them out really good with compressed air before putting a lens in them. That may be all it takes...

If you are going to spend the money to buy a tap, I suggest that you buy a diode removal tool instead.
I tried using a tap and found that it opened up the threads too much and made the lens fit loosely.
By screwing the removal tool all the way in, it smoothed the threads out but left them tight.
So, the diode removal tool is now a multi tool! Safely removes diodes as well as smooths out bad threads.

PS Look what I found at the grocery store last night.

Glad you got them, try using pliers to remove that lens, but as gentle as you can and it should come out  ( I found 1 with that problem and it worked for me :)

The lens barrel is made of steel. Much harder material than copper. I would turn in and out the lens with a tool a few time to grind the thread. It will loosened up.

Btw my package hasn't arrived yet. Maybe the postman is a laser hobbyist and want to keep the modules. :p
