Yeah, you do realise that we can't see that image? You'll need to upload it to imgur, or another image sharing website.

Sorry :o I let me turn again, if you want to put something else, or other person, go ahead.

I close for today.

Oh wow... I'm sorry for the duplicate post, I couldn't see it before, but that's clearly a troll post. :twak:

I know I am going out of turn and breaking the rule that you cannot post an image if something you do not have knowledge of. but I have come across a few of these and still dont know what they are used for- the plug in mono(not stero) and the same size as a small headphone jack- the 'things' at the ends look like LEDs.
I am sure I will be 'facepalming' about this soon

Are they yours? they look like some kind of decorative lights like to light something from below?

They look like lights that plug into am audio system & pulse on & off/ change colors with the beat of the. music. Although I think that they are missing plastic / coloref covers.

yeah- this is the second set of these that I have found- the first were shorter- I guess i can hook up my adjustable PS and start low to see if they are indeed LEDS- -they must slide into somethng as there are no holes the the end part. the plug splits into two and then the wires coming out split again. No manufacturers marking or anything printed on any part- ...def. some kind of LED thingy. the led are at a 45 degree angle so you may be correct that it lights up sumtin' from below.
with the number of youngsters here I will get a right answer soon.

These came to me in doantions to a thrift store where I volunteer (SPCA) so I did not see who gave them to us nor was able to ask any Qs.

They may plug into a missing/ 'broken. ' mixer' that creates the stereo or quad channel output. IDK for sure but sure would like to find out. Hmmmm!!!???

I'm pretty sure these are emitting infrared LEDs.

And one of the applications they may have is for example allows you to use audio visual & entertainment equipment behind cabinet doors located.

Obviously used together with receivers LEDs and one IR connecting block.

But maybe yours were for other use.

Okay, back on track! Somebody post an object for us to guess! Thank you!

That is what these are for. You set these on top of or under the receiver, around where its IR sensor is for where it picks up signal from the remote control. This way, a central controlling device can send signals to other devices via remote control, i.e. this device tells the tv to turn on and the dvd player to start playing when you push play on the controlling device's remote. This way, you can control a wide variety of devices with a single remote.
