I dont think a few mA is gonna do much! plus he is the one who fixed it for me because the original 6x diode in it burned out in like 5 min. Im getting it checked by jayrob. I dont think its anything FP's did I just wanna see if he overlooked something you never know I just thought my 6x would do more. Also I do realize not all diodes have the same efficiency.

Thanks, and well you never know... A few mA can make all the diffrence in the world :)
 
I might be able to ask jayrob do put it to about 200mA or 210mA what do you think I could push it to without reducing the diode life to much?

Im not sure LOL, Check out the diode life thread by igor... The tail cap ring is what made me fall for it... Now I have two, red and violet!
 
you bought it from flamingpyro right? how much was the host with the heatsink? and was it a pretty easy build?

Well I bought it complete from him, for $140 The host is like $20 and the copper HS is $30 IIRC, but you can have him make one out of aluminum for much less, just will shorten the duty cycle! I suggest you have him put it togeather, he does great work! The entire "pill" is sealed off! LEt me grab a pic....
 
yea but LCCs are pretty cheap and i wanna start building them for the learning experience, so i figure theyre a good place to start along with PHRs
 
thats interesting, but all i really want is someone else to make is the host and heat sink. then i want to put together the rest.
