Am interested in getting my hands on at least one 1.8 amp X-Drive. If you can put me in touch with anyone who has them for sale, would greatly appreciate it. paul1598419

Well your asking the right person because I just got 2x 1.8 x-drivers from Lazeerer. He'll get you hooked up!

Dear Lazeeerer, I am Paul1598419 and I'm interested in purchasing a 1.8 amp X-Drive buck driver for a new Nichia 2 watt LD that I purchased from the manufacturer about a month ago. It is the same 445 nm M140 laser diode except it has never been soldered on and has all its leads intact. My email address is :imagine15@live.com. Please email me a way to pay you for the driver, I can do PayPal or MasterCard or whatever works for you.Gratefully. Paul Bruneau

lazeerer, Thanks. 1.8 amp X-Drive V6 got here really quick and I will use it on a lab build I have in the works with the brand new Nichia 445 nm 2 watt diode I bought. Hope you enjoyed you Thanksgiving with the relatives. Gratefully, paul1598419

Angelos, I need a V6 X-Driver and I have PM'd you and sent an email. Will look forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Paul

Yeah, lazeerer will treat you right. If you want to build a 445nm M140 laser diode build get a 1.8 amp X-Drive V6 and get the diode either installed in an AixiZ module or press it in one yourself if you have the press. You can use one of those new lenses you just got for a power output around 1.7 Watts. I have purchased about 5 different drivers from lazeerer and it has always been an uneventful experience. PM him and he'll get back to you when he has the time.

Is not clear for me: this driver is suitable for IR diodes? I am looking to find a small driver able to drive some IR diodes (require 2.4V/1A-1.5A)

PM lazeerer. these are his drivers. He is sometimes busy and may take a few days to get back to you, but he can answer any questions you have about his drivers. He always accepts PayPal from me, but I'm sure he would accept other forms of payment. I don't see any reason why these drivers wouldn't work for 808nm laser diodes. The main difference is the 808 is case positive and the forward voltage is about 2 volts, but that won't be a problem.

If we heatsink just the IC is enough. or we have to heatsink the inductor too?

If the inductor angelos chose is sufficiently rated you shouldn't have to heatsink it (I trust you'll be fine without heatsinking it)

As for the IC, it depends on how much current your drawing. Usually anything over 600 mA for any driver and you'll want to heatsink.

angelos' X-Drive CC buck driver can handle 1.8 amps current without heat sinking. DTR sells them that way all the time. I suppose if you had it at an incredibly long duty cycle, one might want to heat sink it, but I still don't believe it is necessary.

This thread is over two years old. Lazeerer hasn't been active for well over a year. Please don't post in these old threads as there is no one who will contact you.

Please edit your post and remove your email. You're soliciting spam companies and are not even trying to obfuscate it. Besides receiving a PM will also drop you an email (if it's the same account and if you didn't disable that feature)
