I recently managed to harvest the diode and driver out of my dilda without destroying them so, I'll be offering them up for sale for $10. Shipping shouldn't be any more than 2-4 dollars international. First come first serve basis. Pictures available upon request... I guarantee that this diode won't arrive DOA or an LED...

thanks

Edit: Sold pending funds

Re: FS: Stock dilda diode and driver

might be interested... just depends on the diodes power... could you get a couple pictures to check for any damage

Re: FS: Stock dilda diode and driver

How many mW's was the dilda putting out before the harvest ?

The way that the diode and driver come out (if you used the screw-in retainer) will leave the diode completely without a heat sink.  Shining a red diode that is probably putting out over 150mW without a heat sink is a recipe for a burned out diode.  The vast majority of these lasers put out over 150mW with CR2 primary batteries.  Some were higher, of course, but this was the average.  I wouldn't recommend asking for lighted pictures if you want to buy an undamaged diode.

Peace,
dave

Dave, I was asking the power output BEFORE the harvest & I didn't request ANY PHOTOS :)

It's cool Dave, just didn't want to get blamed for something I didn't do :) ;D

Thanks John :( ;D ;) Snooze I looze ;D ;D

Sorry guys, It's sold. My dilda clocked at approximately 147mW before harvesting. I'm not sure what it does as of now since it doesn't have a heatsink anymore...

P.S For anyone who really wanted one but missed out, I'll be harvesting more dilda's soon ;)
