FS: SH-032 500mW 445nm(Pic Heavy)

Thanks guys for updating the thread (: Super cool of y'all.
Im just updating to say that this unit is running at 780mA.
Wouldnt that put it at a minimum of 600mW?
This is GREAT news for you bolder (:

Update!
Out the door this morning! Enjoy Bolder, it was a pleasure doing business with you!
Should be at your door on saturday or monday!

That is great news! Thanks for the update and tracking number!

Will that change the duty cycle or will it still be around 60/60?

From a cold start, you can literally leave the unit on for 3-4 minutes, 1 min off. There after that, 60/60. I ran thermal tests on it the night before i sent it out ;)

@Boldar - Do you have batteries worked out for this? You'll want to slash and burn as soon as it arrives, I imagine. :D

Well, they are on the way... but it might be an overseas supplier Not sure where they are. Blord posted a link to batteries being sold by Manafont.com and it looked like a good deal, so I got them and a charger from there.

Upon further inspection, it looks like the package went out Hong-Kong post, though my tracking number isn't turning up any results yet.

Ahh well... if I get too crazy in suspense and can't handle it, there's a RadioShack around the corner from the office where I can get a really overpriced version that's even lower capacity. :-P

It'll all depend on quickness in the "slowboatfromchina" vs. my level of self-control. lol

haha!^ Oh Btw bolder! The positive end goes towards the aperture and the negative end of the battery goes towards the tail-cap. I totally forgot that factor.

Got the package in the mail. Nice wrapping job! It looks like it made the trip unscathed. However, batteries and glasses have not yet come in, otherwise I'd be posting some beamshots. I'll keep you posted!

Glad all this worked out :). I will admit that the first time I read this thread and i saw "send it as a gift" i immediately went to another thread. Good to hear that it arrived safely and it all worked out.

looking forward to some beamshots

Ok, Im getting really impatient while waiting for my 18650s to come from China. I looked around locally and can't seem to find anywhere that has 18650s 3.7v in stock (I called a lot of places today). I have been researching and in some cases 2x CR123a batteries can be used in some hosts instead of 1x 18650.

My question is, if I pick up 2x CR123a 3v batteries, will the combined 6v be too much for the flexdrive? I read data sheets on flexdrive-v5 (I'm asuming that's what my new "toy" is using) and the spec maxes at 5.5v. I also found that a diode or resistor can be used to rectify or drop the voltage to safe operating spec. Anyone familliar with this flexdrive setup to give me an answer wether 2x CR123a would fry the driver without making additional modifications?

Thanks!

I wouldn't go the two battery route. 5.5V is the maximum voltage for the Flexdrive. No need to destroy the expensive Flexdrive. Use only one battery and fill the empty space with a conductive stuff like a dummy battery, spacer, bolt etc

I feel your pain. I am expecting items from China, Belgium and Florida (other side of the US) and I am itching to hear that doorbell ring.
